    When the bell rang Beliz was the first out the door. She ran to her locker knowing that's probably the first place her friend would have gone. She was right. Madison sat on the ground in front of her locker banging her head against it. Madison stopped when she heard footsteps coming towards her.

    “What happened?” Beliz asked as calmly as possible.

    Madison rubbed her forehead and replied, “I told him he was cute.”

    “That's it?”

    Madison was extremely confused. She said it emphasizing every word this time, “I told him he was cute.”

    “Yeah, I heard. So what'd he say?”

    She stared for a bit and then answered, “Not much. I didn't give him a chance.”

    “Yeah, you did run out of the room pretty fast and you got the answer right.” Beliz sat down beside her and leaned against the locker. “So what are you going to do now?”

    “I have no idea.”

    The rest of the day went fast and then suddenly slowed down when it came to 8^th period. That was the other class Madison had Cody in and guess what. They sit next to each other. I should feel bad, but I can't help but be amused.

    Madison casually took her seat. In this class she sat against the wall, so she couldn't stare out the window with out looking at him. She pulled her chair as close to the wall as possible making sure she wouldn't make any physical contact with him what so ever. He walked in and sat beside her grinning.

    “You know, Maddy, your not so bad yourself.” He continued to stare ahead.

    Madison wasn't quite sure if what she heard was correct, “Excuse me, but did I here you correctly?”

    “If you think I said your cute, then yes.” He turned to her and gazed into her eyes. She melted inside, but she couldn't let it show. She hated showing weakness. Unfortunately, he chuckled and she realized it was too late. Her face burned a bright red which she had no control over.

    “I don't mean to embarrass, but it's true.”

    Then, the teacher walked in and he returned his attention to the front. At that moment I could tell she resented him so much right now. The way he made her blush tipped the scale, but she didn't feel like running out of the room throwing a tantrum. She stared ahead making sure she wasn't distracted, but wen she loosened up just the slightest bit she realized he was much closer than before. She leaned back a little in her wooden chair and saw that under the table his knee was almost touching hers. She grew tense and pulled her body in close. He hadn't turned to look, but he pulled himself towards his side of the table. Her shoulders dropped slightly, but the rest of her stayed. It was rather odd for her to act in such a way. Most of the time she didn't care, but now...I'm not sure what was running through her mind. Her face didn't even let anything show.

    They stayed in that position for the rest of the period and Madison gave a sigh of relief when the bell had chimed. She had almost made it through the door when she was pulled back in. She winced as the sudden pain rushed through her body. Unknowingly, Cody had pulled her by her arm with a fresh purple bruise hidden underneath the sleeve. The class was empty. Even the teacher had left.

    “That was fast.”She mumbled to herself. She looked at Cody who was now examining her bruise. She pushed him away before he was able to get a good look at what it was. “Don't you dare.”

    “What happened?”

    “Nothing.” She stared at her feet. She just happened to be wearing her favorite converse today. The original, black, high top. “We're not here to discuss my problems. What did you want?”

    He watched her for a moment trying to figure out if she would ever tell him what really happened and then he began, “I didn't mean to be so forward. I just wanted to apologize. That's all.”

    She looked up realizing he was waiting for her. She smiled to lighten the mood, “It's fine. You did no harm.”

    He didn't look very convinced, but he started to leave anyway. She grabbed his arm before he could leave almost pulling him to the ground. He stared at her in a bit of shock. She was pretty strong for what she looked. She just smirked, “Revenge.”
