She walked out of the school hoping to leave him suffering, but a little bit of her wanted to go back and apologize. She walked down the steps taking her time seeing if just maybe he would follow. To her dismay she had reached the end of the parking lot before he finally came out. She stood on the sidewalk and watched as he came down the stairs. He looked up and stared straight back at her. They froze in place as they watched each other. He hesitated,but then continued forward. He wasn't sure how, but he felt like he was being pulled towards her. Every step he took towards her her heart would skip. She was confused. Why was he walking towards her? Why couldn't he just walk home? Did he enjoy torturing her? He finally was at the edge of the sidewalk and he tried moving towards her, but she took a step back every time he did. "What do you want?"
She was at the edge of the street and she was afraid to step out any further.
"Melissa, I want to talk to you. Back in the school that wasn't a good enough explanation."
"Call me by the name I go by. I'm the only one who can use my real name to refer to myself."
"Okay. Rain, please. I'm trying to understand why your hurting. So maybe I could fix this or something. I can't just let you suffer."
"Then, leave me alone."She shouted as she ran out into the middle of the street.
A black car came screeching down the street not giving Rain a chance to react.
