• Chapter 26:
• "The letter and Kevin Enters"

• As Kevin went to get the coffee, Nancy looked at Adam’s letter in the corner of her eyes. She started nervously massaging her hand to get that nervous power out. Eventually, she decided to read it. She took the letter with shaky hands, as she kept fighting her tears remembering what just happen in front of her. It just seem like a horrible nightmare that she wished to wake up from; will fate be generous to her again and give her that chance, hardly! Especially with the letter still there, she wanted to read that letter seeking comfort she may find in his words. But what she saw what beyond comfort into her most horrible nightmare coming to life. She opened the letter and it contained a copy of what appear to be a check, pictures and the letter. She took a look t the picture; and her face turned pale, whatever she saw; it wasn’t what she had in mind; she unwrapped the letter quickly looking for an answer to what she just saw her heart kept pounding hard and fast against her chest. She held her tears back and started reading,

• “The One and only love in my life,

• By the time you get this letter I would be dead because of you, know that you’re the only reason for my death. I was nothing but nice to you, all I did was love you like no other man ever would or will, and that’s how you repay my love?! I hope you’re happy about my death, and with that liar you preferred to me. Let me tell you a bit something about that guy, he is not what you think he is. He is an expert in breaking hearts, and I hope he breaks yours just like you broke mine. I hired him to let you feel what I failed to do for years. So that you could try how sour love can be and admire what I have to give you. In the letter there is a picture of us when we made the deal, and the check he took in able to do the task. Oh by the way, your heart is worth 500$. So cheap wouldn’t you say; after all I tried to give you and offer, your heart surrendered over 500$. I don’t know whither to laugh or cry at that fact. Oh so let me tell you more about him, everything was going like planned and then after he left he came back and needed more money when I refused to give him; he threatened to come back into your life and win you again. I doubted he had the power to make you cheat on me knowing how faithful you can be especially since we are engaged to be married, I guess I was wrong. He came back and took my place I fought so hard to get and he gets it for 500$ and extra charge, funny thing how life works; and again I hope he breaks your heart, and be glad that you are the reason of the death of the only man that ever loved you and ever will.

• She folded the paper and the shock hit her, could all this be true. Was her heart really bought, and for 500$. Tears collapsed off her eyes, as she was looking at the check copy; in the meantime Kevin enters the room smiling smugly like ever

• “hun, I didn’t know what to get you, so I got you everything, you choose what you want and I’ll eat the rest ….”

• Then his energy drained as he looked at her face and the paper in her hand, his smile faded, and it was obvious he was trying to keep control of his body as coffee started shaking off his hand, he puts everything down

• “Baby, is everything all right? What’s wrong?

• She kept staring at him trying to hold her tears back; and then with a weak voice she said

• “Is it true?” shoving the picture and the check copy
