• "What's your name?"
• She seemed to have spaced out a little and then muttered
• "Uh Jennifer but you can call me Jenny u?"
• "Joe but you can call me Joseph" she laughed while blushing then he continued "what are you in here for?" then he thought what the hell was that question! She is not in jail or anything; you don’t as that in hospitals
• She smiled stopping her self from laughing, he blushed
• "Well, my mom was sick. We thought it was just a cold at first, but she kept getting sicker.” Her smile faded a little as she continued. “She was in the hospital luckily when she started to crash, they called me in the middle of the night about a week ago and said she wasn’t going to make it. She is in the ICU now in a drug induced coma. They don’t really know what's wrong.”
• She seemed a bit nervous as she threw her coffee away and stared into nowhere; he wanted to show sympathy but he didn’t know how; he knew what she was going through because he been through the same he finally said
• “It’s hard when it’s your parents. I lost my dad about 6 months ago.” Man what the hell are you talking about she doesn’t want to know that; you don’t tell people you have someone dieing on you when they have someone in the hospital; ugh maybe I should just keep my silent so that I wont mess anything up ; she looked real sad and her voice got weak as she said
• 
  “I don’t know what I will do if she dies. I don’t think I can survive alone.”
• 
  “Where is the rest of your family?”
• 
  “Well I have one older brother that’s it. But he ran off last year after a fight with my mom. I don’t know if he knows what’s going on right now or if he would even come. He was pretty angry when he left.”
• Man that is messed up he thought; he felt bad for her and wished he could do something he wanted to ask her why she didn’t try to reach her brother and all but then he thought none of his business
• “What about your family? Why are you here alone?”
• **** flash back ********
• "Oh my god Joe! Stop splashing me with water am trying to imitate here"
• "how can you be in front of this ocean and not swim; com on baby!!!! Lets get in there"
• "wait I am thinking"
• "hmmm and what's that your thinking about hot shot?" as he gave up and laid down on the beach
• "My family"
• He sat down and held her close kissing her neck
• "am sorry baby! It must be hard for you; giving up everything for me; but am glad you did am not gonna lie to you my life would be the same without you!"
• She smiled looking at him with his concerned eyes not knowing what to say
• "well, I realized that I wouldn’t ask for a better family than you babe! You are my family and it can't get any better"
• He got the biggest smile on as he held her tight kissing her
• "Joe you gonna kill me! Am going to suffocate! Oh man I cant breath"
• He laughed looking at her laughing so hard "well you are my family as well, I don’t need nobody else"

  “It’s a long story.”
•  He finally said; he didn’t like getting into details and have people petty and all. He would rather have it inside that people feeling sad or bad for him. And he already was sick of people giving him comfort words and all. It's been a year now; and somehow whenever someone hears the story he feels the same pain he felt when he found out she died.  Yet, somehow he felt like he could share his pain with her; he didn’t know why or how. Maybe because she was so open to him even though he wasn’t for her. His mind kept running with all kind of thoughts and question he could ask;
• “She is such a beautiful girl.”
• He looked toward his little girl playing with the blue ball trying to socialize with the little kid sitting next to her. He found it rather funny even though little Sandra is so young she always reminded him with her mother.
• Jenny laughed then continued 
•  “And a little flirt I guess. She is following him around. I think she has found a little friend.”
  
  
• “Yeah… she’s always been easy around strangers. I think she gets that from me.”
  
  
• He felt uncomfortable for what he was about to say so he stood up went all the way to another chair near his little girl; drank some coffee and realized it was freezing, spit it back in and wished that Jenny didn’t see him which apearntly she didn’t because she was watching Sandra  then he continued
• "the flirting she gets from her mom.”
• Then silence ruled the room once again; he finally decided to open up to her
• “I don’t have anyone either, not really.”
  “You have Sandra. It must be hard raising her alone, losing her mom in childbirth.”
  “Yeah” He said quietly. “I’m really tired.”
  “What about her mom’s family?”
  “They never accepted me.” He shook his head and gave a mocking laugh. “That’s one of the reasons I am here.”
  
  
• ************** flash back
• "you killed my daughter!!! You bastard!!!!"
• Joe crying "I I I I Didn’t kill her!!"
• "Yes you did! All because of you; fucking moron, she wouldn’t be dead if it wasn’t for you; she is just a kid. You come to her playing all your games! I can tell when I see a loser coming after my money; and oh boy you are the worst kind; and she was stupid enough to believe you!"
• Joe gasping for air as Mr. O smother him into the wall until two of the guys with Mr. O stop him, not that he couldn’t take him down but he felt weakness he never in his entire life felt before, devastated
• "he is not worth it sir"
• "Fucking pig!"
• "You took my daughter from me; and I swear I will make you suffer and I will take you daughter from you as you did to me"

• Then he finally decided he was going to tell her everything and so he did. He was really nervous talking about Sandra. And started to move around; his heart kept pounding so hard so fast into his chest. He felt the tears building up into his eyes; he tried to fight them so hard but he couldn’t. he walked all over the room to make sure she didn’t see him cry and all as he told her the whole story as he finished telling her his story without going into details, he noticed she was crying as well and then she muttered
•  “Oh my god!" then silence then again she said
•  “Wow… “
• She seemed to be in a loss of words, then she gathered her thoughts together and said
• “So she gave up her family to be with you because they didn’t approve of you?” She shook her head
  
  
• “Yeah” he said trying to hide his tears, then a nurse came in
