Stephenie's life was going better now. Save for the Louis complication, but otherwise, okay. Louis didn't take the break-up well, and Joan couldn't get used to Dom, but Stephenie didn't care. She was happy. Louis was still trying to get her back, and Joan was kind of helping him, but her mind was set. Sure, Dom wasn't the ideal boyfriend. He made mistakes. What normal human being doesn't? But she loved him for it.

She wound up going to the prom with Dom, and Louis wound up deciding he wasn't going. She felt bad. Really bad. So bad that she actually called one of her other girlfriends the day before and asked if she would go with him because they were both single and not going. Louis wound up going after all.

Walking down the hallways at school the day before graduation and thinking this, a familiar song popped into her head"
