As I stood there , the sun beat down on my skin. It was starting to get hot out, and i'm not just talking about the weather. I looked into his Ocean blue eye's, and I couldn't look away. He still had my hand in his. I couldn't breath, as I looked into his anglic face.

" Are you alright? It looked like you took an nasty fall." His voice was smooth like wind in fall. He was smiling and and I couldn't look away.

"Umm... Ace. My name is Ace." Oh shoot, he didn't ask me my name, he asked if I was okay. STUPID STUPID! He was looking at me weird, like I couldn't understand the English language. Say something Ace.

"Yea I'm alright. My name is Ace." He still hadn't said anything to me, i was sacred that he might think I was stupid or something. Then he smiled, and my breath was taken away. My cheeks were turning red, and my breath was coming out fast. My heart was beathing like a drum form a rock song. I couldn't think of anything more to say, or do.

"Ace?" He stoped talking and looked into my eye's like he was trying to find the answers to all the worlds problems. " I like it. It fits you." He started to laugh, this always made me mad, I could understand why people would just start to laugh for no reason.

"What? Did i do something funny?" I asked, I didn't like it, when i thought peopel were laughing at me.

"Nothing. Sorry I didn't mean to up-set you. My name is Brian." He held out his hand for me to shake it. I took his hand, and had a firm grip.

"You didn'y up-set me, I just don't like it when people laugh at me for no reason. Sorry." I took a very deep breath. "Your name is Brian?" He didn'y look like a Brian, maybe a Nick, but not a Brian.

"Yea, sorry i don't have a cool name like yours." He said playfully. He was smiling now, even more than befor. His teeth were shining white. Then i saw it, he had a tong ring.It wasn't bing, and you could only see it when he talked. On some guys this would have looked weird, but on him, it looked like it belonged there.

" No there's nothing wrong with your name, I just thought... Oh never mind." I stopped, I didn't feel like having to tell him what I was thinking.

"You just thought what?" He asked, I loved it when he asked a question, beacuse his blue eye's look so intence.

"I just thought you looked more like a Nick or somthing." I said. He started to laugh again. His laugh was like wind chimes. It sounded like it could carry on the wind itself.

"Well sorry to disapoint you, but my name is Brian, but if you like you can call me nick." He was once againg laughing. And this time I didn't mind.

"No It's okay, I'll call you Brian." I said, I was being to like him. Not that I didn't like him before, but now i like him even more.

"you're hot. Oh crap, did I just say that out loud?" Mt cheeks were on fire. How could I say something so stupid?" His laughter broke my thoughts.

"Yea you just said that out loud." He once again began to laugh. I could stand here and make a fool out of myself, more than i already have. I started to walk down the beach, I didn't look back to see if he was flowing me. "How could you say something so stupid like that. Don't you ever think?" I said to myself. I had to find Kelly, she'd think of smething to say to make me feel better.

"Do you always talk to yourself, as you walk down an empity beach?" Brain was right along side me. I had looked at him, and i saw that there was no smile on his face, but laughter in his eye's. Did the laughter ever leave his eye's? Then his words hit me like a 2by4.

"There's no one on the beach?" I said out loud.

"Are you waiting for someone?" He asked as he walked along side me.

"Well yes I am , and I can't find the person I'm looking for." I said with a small smile. He just stopped and looked at me. His next words made me laugh.

"Sorry, I didn't know you have a boyfriend." He had stopped walking. Now it was my turn to laugh. I couldn'y stopped. He thought that I had a boyfriend. Funny. He looked puzzled.

"Whats so funny? Did I miss a joke or something?" He asked.

"No, I was laughing because you thought I had a boyfriend. That was the joke." Again he looked puzzled. Like i was speaking a spanish to a french person.

"Why do you find that funny?" He asked. His musical voice ring in my ears.

"Because I 've never had a boyfriend, in all my 16 years of liveing." I said, I wasn'y upset that I've never had a boyfriend before. I couldn't care less. I didn'y have the time to deal with the dram that came along with boyfriends.

"I don't believe you. You've had to have boyfriend."

"Okay well if you call the biting of my head back in pre K a thing then yea, but besides that nope, nothing."

"Your lieing he said." What part of nope nothing didn't he understand? Why was it so hard to understand that i've never had a boyfriend, or a "thing"?

"Nope." I said, I was getting tired of playing this game with him.

"Yes you are, because there's no way that a beautieful girl like you wouldn't be takin'." My heart was say aww, but my brain was saying he's lying. which to believe? That it the question.

"Umm I have to go." I said as I started to run away from him. I just had to get out of there. Was he telling the truth? Would I ever see him again? The answers to those question were left to the stars.
