Chapter 7

I had three hours until the party to fix things with Kristen, but I needed a girls point of view. Just so I could make sure I didn’t screw things up. So I called my mom.

My mom and dad had been together for almost seventeen years, and from what I have heard from how they met, I knew my mom would be the person to talk to.

As the dial tone rang I wondered if she would understand.

"Hello Will," she sounded worried.

"Mom, I need your advice." I could hear in her voice after that, that she was smiling and happy I was asking her. She told me to just tell Kristen the truth and still give her the present and ask her out. If she doesn’t go for it then she’s not worth it.

On the way to Kristen’s house I wondered if she was even there. As I pulled up I didn’t see her car so I pulled over and thought about where she was. Then I remembered about a month ago she was telling me about a water fall with a pond below it. She said it was a place that relaxed her and it was only five minutes from where I was now.

As I pulled up to the parking area I saw no other car but her’s. I walk about a minute on the trail and then I saw her. She was sitting next to the waterfall and I saw how amazing it was. No wonder why she talked about it so much.

As she saw me she turned the other way and yelled over the waterfall, "How the hell did you find me?"

"Can I just talk to you, all you have to do is listen please." I heard her sniffle and say "ok" very quietly. She turned to me. Her eye’s were red from crying and as mean as it was I was pretty happy to see that she liked me but I hated how it happened.

"Kristen, I was getting ready for our date," just by me saying date she smiled but hid it quickly. "The door bell rang and it was Brittany, she asked me to go with her to your party I said no, she cornered me and kissed me, by the time I pushed her away I heard someone running from the door. I was crushed when I saw it saw you," I stopped to see if she was still listening. I pulled out her present and gave it to her. "Happy Birthday." When she opened it her jaw dropped and she looked at me. "Listen Kristen, I’ve been in love with you as long as I can remember," I walked over and sat next to her, "I was wondering if you would forgive me and be my girlfriend. Not Brittany you." She smiled and nodded her head.

"Under two condition."

"Of course."

"One, you forgive me once I kick Brittanys ass, and two you put this necklace on." She handed me the necklace.

As I was done putting it on her, she turned towards me. I smiled and said, "You look beautiful." I brushed a tear from her cheek.

I was about to ask her if she still wanted to go get a quick dinner when she pulled me in for a kiss. I pulled her over to me and put her on my lap. We sat there kissing for a few minutes. Her kisses were as good as I had imagined. As she pulled away, with her arms around my neck she smiled and said, "I’m hungry." I laughed and helped her off my lap and said, "Well birthday girl, lets go get some food."
