Her Eye's

The blue and red lights dancing on the trees. If I could just get to the river, I would be able to loose them. I thought I saw something move in front of me but thought nothing of it. By the time the cop tackled me, I realized it was a line of police waiting for me to run past them.

They put the handcuffs on tight, they were out of breath and pissed that I had ran away. I was 16 and being slammed into the back of the police car. I wonder if any of my friends got caught too. I bet they were smart enough and got away.

The car slowly stopped in front of my house. It was dark, no lights on, yet. I was imagining my parents punishments. I’m going to be grounded for life. I just know it. No more tv, phone, music. Can’t go on dates, or dances. My thoughts interrupted by the officer pulling me out of the car and asking me, "So kid, do you think your parents are going to believe it was your friends fault like last time?"

"No, sir." I learned from my dad to say Mam, or no sir to cops.

His hand leaned out to ring the door bell. Right when I heard it go off inside, I knew it was only a matter of seconds before my parents opened the door, and I was right.

They glared at my while the officer said, "Brian, Tia we caught your son, again."
