‘Come on…. Pick up…” She repeats over and over again, as she slowly becomes more and more worried. It had been hours since she last heard from her friend, and the last words she spoke weren’t exactly something you would want to hear a friend say. She slams the phone down, and grabs her keys. Something was wrong. She knew something was wrong so as fast as she could, she left her apartment. Didn’t bother to lock her door, or even put some shoes on. She needed to see if her friend was ok and that was all that mattered. She jogged across the small car park, and jumped into her car and sped off. The trip was going to be at least 15 minutes, but that was not fast enough. With one hand on the wheel, she dialled her friends’ number onto her cell phone. Still, she was not picking up. With tears streaming down her face, she continued to wait for someone to pick up the phone. Her speed continued to slowly rise, putting not only herself but everyone else in danger. She looses concentration as a small child darts onto the street; and with a gasp she drops the phone and puts both her hands on the wheel. She swerves around for a few split seconds until she finally gains control again. Her phone starts to ring again, except there was one problem. It was on the floor, but it was within an arms reach. The phone continued to ring, and she could JUST see who it was that was calling her. It was her friend, and she knew that she needed to talk to her at that very moment. With a quick last glance at the road she bent down and reached for the phone, it slipped away. Instead of keeping her eyes on the road like a normal and sensible person would do, she continued to reach for the little pink, fluffy, and strangely feminine cell phone. Finally she managed to get her hands on it, so she sat back up in her seat to drive. But it was a little too late, for she had swerved off the main road and onto a footpath. She screamed as she tried to stop the car, but stupidly she still continued to hold on to her phone as if it were more important. But oddly enough not all the screaming was done by the driver, there was a short spine chilling shriek coming from the other end of the phone. Her eyes filled with tears as she saw that stopping the car would be impossible, and there was the fact that she was seconds away from hitting not only a young girl but also a wall.Swerving out of control she let go of everything, it was as if nothing mattered anymore. She had giving up.She looked into the eyes of the girl she was about to rip life away, it was the friend she had been so desperate to see.  And then with a loud crash, she hit her friend, she hit the wall, and she died.
