I just nodded and obeyed.He stood back to let me out;once I was out he shut my door and told me to get into his car.Again I just silently obeyed,afraid of his gaze.He got in the driver's side and turned on the car.He silently drove me past the school,his house,and various other recognizable places.
"Where are we going?"I asked,severly.He looked at me out of the corner of his eye.
"Surprise."He said quietly.Niether of us talked.Awhile later I asked again as he turned into Old Colorado City.He gave me the same answer;I looked around trying to figure out where we were going.I had never been in this part of the small old town. I was extremely confused.

I drove into Old Colorado City. She asked me where we were going but I just told her it was a surprise.I was taking her to a small clearing only I knew about. The nice part of this for her was that we only had to walk a few steps into the trees.How no one else knows about this is amazing to me.When we get there I am going to make her tell me.She knows I would never do anything to hurt her.Cici will tell me.She has to.I thought as I parked along a row of trees.She got out and looked at me questioningly.I just gestured to follow me.Cici just moved right along.
When we reached the clearing,she gasped.I could understand;it was beautiful here.Short flowers,grass, and a slight breeze filled the tree lined place.We sat down and looked at each other for what seemed like forever.Her blue eyes pierced my mind.
"Now tell me,"I said softly,"what happened to you?"She looked pained,like she would be betraying national security just for telling me.
"I can't. I know you wouldn't tell anyone.I know I can trust you.I do,Shaun.But I'm afraid of what you'll do.You're way to protective."She said,dropping her gave after the final word.
"Why would you be afraid of what I would do?Are you afraid I might kill someone or hurt you?Cici just tell me.Please just say-"
"It was Alex,okay?"She interuppted."He did this to me.After I dumped him,he did this to me and told me that if I ever tried that again he would kill me."She suddenly stood up."Take me home.Now please."
She was crying;I nooded standing up and taking her in my arms.She hugged me and cried harder.We walked to my car in silence.What am I going to do?No wonder she is still dating Alex,even though she hates him.It makes sense now.
"Did he say anything about if you told anyone?"I asked.I couldn't jeprodize her safety.Not Cici.
"He said he wouldn't kill me but he would make it worse."She said as we drove back to the city.
"Okay,we just won't say anything.And I will try my hardest not to do anything,okay?"
"Okay.Thank you,Shaun.You are the best.
