         My name is Wade. I am the commander of a great army. My planet is divided into two. The mysterious side of shadows, and the great side of light. My soldier's ages range from 6 to 14. I am only 12.

        The world was not always like this. My family used to own a cabin, and the trees chipped with diamonds. Then when the 'creaturs came they released a gas that killed everyone over 14. My dad was the commander of the army then. That is why I was elected commander. We knew that if the sides converged, bad things would happen. So all day , and every day we stand at the point where the sides meet.

       The local shawman told epic stories of a great battle between good, and evil. She also said it would be led by a young. I had always feared the day it would happen. When it did happen we were not ready. The southern bergade was killed before we could react. The northern bergade( the one I was in a the moment) was thrown on their backs. The shadows were attacking. I ordered the boys to put up lanterns. It was the only way we knew how to fight them.

     Before we knew it, the light was attacking also. We had no way to fight the light. By this time the shadow creatures had overcome the lanterns. I held my breathe as the 2 sides connected. The power was so strong it nocked us off of our feet. Great bolts of thunder filled the skies like a plauge of wasps.

     Then the noise started to get lower. The battle seemed to slow down. Great lights filled the dark sky. From a distance I heard a heavenly voice. The song 'sancuary' rang acroos the land. I was familar with it. It was the only song that i knew how to play on the flute carved from wood that i used to have. I felt a lump under my breast plate. I took it off, and my old flute fell out. I thought it was impossible, and maybe i was seeing things. It had burned when the light took over our property.

     The battle sped up, along with the sound. There was no way we could stop it. Most of my men had died already. I took the flute and played sancuary.

     Once again bright lights filled the sky. I closed my eyes. When i opened them i was in a great ballroom. The cieling was held up by the same diamond chipped trees that used to be there. All of my family was there and everyone that had perished. My mom pointed to a window. I went over and looked out. I saw my planet. Loud cracks echoed through the galaxy. All the sudden, the planet exploded! I was taken back by it. Then my mom said that the creatures was trying to warn us that our enemy was going to blow up the planet.
