Anki was/is my brother. I have not seen him many many years. The last time was when I was 3 and he was 5. We were close to each other as all young kids are. We were torn apart though. Not only from each other but from are mom and dad. I went into safety and he, well he got stolen. But that’s a different story for a different time. My family was human. Most humans were quite down to earth people. Or so I thought. Of course I was just a baby then too. A man named Archmage Sieiron made the decision himself that us humans were no good to this world. So he had a better thing planned for us. But it would only work on those young enough to be changed. So one day he found my family and grabbed my brother while my parents ran with me. He is going to expermient on him. Oh I miss him so. Our parents were heartbroken with the loss of their only son. But what they had to do next was even more painful. They had to give me up. I was no longer safe with them. So they took me far away from the home I knew. And one day right before sunset we met up with this stranger. My mom and dad told me that I was to go with him. He would keep me safe from all harm. I was to little to understand what was fully going on as they handed me over and left without another word. They didn’t turn back. The strange man took my hand and led me farther thru the woods. We didn’t speak. We didn’t look at each other..all was quiet. When we reached his place he sat me in a chair and got down to my level.
                “I am Jasper. I am a ranger. I am your family now”
