Long ago man and Dragon lived in perfect harmony. But like all good things, they eventually came to an end.  The King of Dragons, “The Spectral Dragon”, took human form and also the hand of a young human Cleric named Arianna. After a few short years, a child was born. After ruling the land for nearly two decades, Arianna was killed by a band of thieves returning home from a six month crusade in search for the Legendary “Staff of Healing.” This drove the King to insanity and as punishment for their vile acts he turned on the human race, enslaving all who lived.

Two hundred and fifty years later; mankind lives in fear of the Dragon Clan. There are those among the Clan who disagree with this way of life however and follow the “Old Ways”. These select few are considered traitors among the Clan and are sentenced to death at the hand of the Kings half human child, The Dragon Slayer, for it is forbidden for one dragon to take the life of another. The story begins in the chambers of the Dragon Clan in the presence of the King himself. Dackon is assigned to destroy a small village as a warning for worshiping one of the few surviving heretics and he is forced to bring a young fighter dragon along for the ride. Although he greatly disagrees with bringing along any help, his undying loyalty to the King stills his tongue and he agrees to take him along. On the way to the village, Dackon’s arrogant behavior upsets the young dragon and while in heated conversation, he is thrown from the dragon’s back falling to what he thinks is your death. Because Dackon is half dragon, a small fall like the one he suffered takes little toll on his physical well being, but takes a rather large toll on his psychological well being as he suffers from an extreme case of amnesia. When he awakens hours later, he makes his way to the village he was sent to destroy and find the sole survivor of the catastrophe, a middle aged blind man who tells him of what happened to the village. Because of his lost memory, Dackon believes that the village he stands in is his own and vows to take revenge on the dragon responsible.
