1. Grace sat at in her car outside Rosie’s Diner the next night debating whether or not she should go in. As if reading her mind, Grace’s cell phone went off and she saw Dom’s name show up on the screen. “Hey baby.” She answered into the phone.
2. “Hey hun,” Dominic greeted. “I was wondering if you wanted to catch a movie or something tonight. Make up for me leaving early last night.”
3. “I would love to babe, what time?”
4. “It starts in about 45 minutes. Want me to come pick you up?”
5. “Oh uhm… Well I am about to meet someone now. Is there a later one we can go see?” Grace hesitated; maybe she should just call the meeting off with Seth. Even as she thought it, she saw Seth appear from inside the diner and head her way.
6. “There is one at 9:30, that comedy we wanted to see. Do you have to get up early for work tomorrow?”
7. “It’s okay; I want to go out with you. I feel like I haven’t really seen you lately.” Grace assured him. “I need to go now though I’ll call you when I’m done?”
8. “Yeah, maybe we can get something to eat before the movie.”
9. “Oh I may eat here at Rosie’s, but coffee and pie later sound good. I’ll save room.” Grace said quickly.
10. “Who are you meeting Gracie?” Dom finally asked.
11. Grace held her breath for a minute before letting it out. “I agreed to see Seth.”
12. “You are going out with Seth?” He sounded hurt.
13. “No baby, I just want him to leave me alone…” Grace started to explain but Dom cut her off.
14. “Yeah sounds like you told him to leave you alone.” His tone was changing from hurt to anger quickly. “You know what he wants Grace. He wants you. And you’re going out with him!” Dominic continued “You are cheating on me!”
15. “He swears he needs to tell me something Dom. It is nothing okay? I am surprised you would even think I would cheat on you like that.”
16. “Grace I know I’ve been distracted lately, but I need you there for me right now. Instead you start going out with other guys?”
17. “NO!” Grace shouted. Seth was almost to her car now, looking through her window and waiving. She held up a finger and luckily he stopped, giving her a little more time on the phone. “Hun I just am meeting him to find out how to make him leave. If I hear him out I can tell him to bug off”
18. “Yeah right. That’s pretty close to what my last girlfriend said.” He said bitterly.
19. “We have been over that baby,” Grace tried to calm him down, “She was a complete idiot to let you go, I wouldn’t do the same thing I love you.”
20. “I am not so sure about that. Sounds like you are going out with your old crush.”
21. “Hun…” Grace whined, “I’m not I swear, I’ll tell him right now I changed my mind.”
22. “He is there right now?” Dom asked. “You know what? You go ahead and spend the night out with Seth, I changed my mind. I don’t want to see a movie.” With that Dominic hung up. Grace tried to call him back but he wouldn’t answer.
23. Seth better have something good to tell her to justify the hurt feelings between her and Dom right now. She looked at him waiting for her in the middle of the parking lot. He was still a very handsome guy, but she had no desire to be with him. She tried one more time to reach Dom, but he still didn’t answer. She left a message telling him how much she loved him and she would get rid of Seth, and to please give her a call.
