1. Okay I know you cringe at my awful attempts at real poetry, Even though you swear you like it, but Rosie girl, I can’t help myself around you. So here you go, a real piece of work done just for you…

6. Alright! I think you can stop laughing now. It’s about as original as I can get. At least right now. I’m writing this while watching you pack to go to your parents to tell them our news. I can’t tell you how happy I am that the love of my life has just agreed to marry me! I really just wanted to tell you thank you. You complete me… Oh now I’m making myself gag. Lol… Thank you for marrying me. I can’t wait to start our life together.
7. You should see how cute you are right now. This will be one of my best memories of our engagement (besides you spilling hot soup in my lap then trying to wipe it up), right now you are trying to pack one bag over full and just realized you haven’t packed any underwear! Now you’re trying to figure out how to get them in your jammed bag. Sooner or later you will give up and take out the three extra pants you packed because you just weren’t sure which you would want. Man you’re cute when you’re serious and frazzled!
8. I love you more than I can say. We will have a wonderful life together.
9. I am so sorry baby, I tried to make it, but I don’t think I can. Remember this is not your fault. I love you so much Rosie, I will always be with you.
10. Rose kissed the worn and creased card again for the hundredth time. “I will always love you too James and I know you are with me always.” She smiled and looked over at their one year old baby boy sleeping in the stroller.
11. “He looks so much like you Jay. And acts like you too. I can tell already he is going to be a perfectionist.” She laughed, “Just the other day he fell, he’s still learning to walk you know, anyway, he fell and ripped his shirt. He would not stop crying until I changed his shirt. It reminded me of how you always like to be neat and looking good.”
12. She wiped away a tear and stood just looking at the grave.  “I miss you so much.” She whispered. Rose stayed that way until she heard their son start to stir. “I know you are watching over us babe. I know you were there for me when I needed you most. I don’t think I would have found help if you hadn’t led me in the right direction. I would have frozen waiting for help. You saved my life and little Jay. And I know you will always be there in the future.”
13. Rose leaned toward the grave, kissed her fingers and brushed them over the marker. “Jay will know what a hero his dad was.” She stood up again. “I love you.” With that she walked back to little jay and took hold of the stroller.
14. “Hey buddy!” Rose looked down over the groggy baby, who was still waking up. “You wanna say hi to daddy?”
15. Jay smiled at his mother’s happy tone and started waving chubby arms in a fast, high arc while squealing in high pitched baby talk. Rose laughed, “That’s right, hi daddy.” She kissed his head and began walking them back to their car. “One day Jay, you are going to understand when I tell you how special your daddy was.”
