The Unheard

My story is different from the rest of everyone elses story. My story is of difficult life, forbidden love and friendships that will last forever. But what really makes my story different then anyones elses, is that I died before my story really began. At first I didn't really know what had happened to me, what had taken place that pulled me from the rest of the real world and the rest of reality. I remember walking around in the empty space of nothingness that swollowed me as I searched for a familiar face in a place of oblivion. I couldnt feel anything at all. Anything to hold on to, anything to touch, anything to feel , to see, to sense. All there was was the blank, white, emptyness that comes hand in hand with nothingness.
So I sat still in the blank space for some time. I felt like there was nothing to acknowledge in the empty limbo. I sat there for a really long time. Why would I walk around in the blank space when there was nothing to explore, nothing to see, nothing? I sat there for so long that the stench was burning my mind, and that the empty space was seeping into my thoughts and forcing me to see the same white fuzz when I closed my eyes. Like my eyes had never closed. Or like I never even opened them. But then, after a long time of waiting I felt the sudden urge to stand, but I did not however feel so bold as to take a step into the depths of the unknown cloud that never seemed to thin from my eyes and my mind.
Then I heard a small sound, like a soft giggle that sparked in my memory. The soft sound rang in my ears, and I felt the sudden urge to move. I now was so bold as to take a step into the nothingness, in search of the sound. I lifted my bare foot from the cold unknown and stepped into even more cold, oblivion. I remember questioning myself, and wondering what I was doing, why was I so adventurous all of a sudden? And to this day, I still don't know what had dawned upon me to do what I had then did, I ran. And then there was sound. The light tapping of my feet echoed into the edges of what felt like an endless dream, and I just kept running, hoping to find the cause of the sound, and hoping to find an answer to why I had ended up where I was. Then, out of nowhere I felt a stinging sensation overtake my body, and my emotions. It didn't hurt, but I still felt it. I let out a loud yelp that sounded as though it came from my mind rather then my mouth.
"It always feels wierd the first time." I turned around to look where the sound had come from, but I didn't see a face. "You do know why you can't see me don't you?" I didn't know how to respond, so I stayed silent. "Its okay, you don't have to know yet, just open your eyes."
I suddenly realized that my eyes had been closed the entire time. when I opened them, I saw something that struck me as a shock. There was a brick wall theat stood infront of me. That must have been what I had ran into, I thought. I stood up and turned around to look in the direction of the voice. Before me stood a face that I had never forgotten. A teenage boy sat before me on a park bench, next to an old woman who was feeding the birds with each flick of her wrist.
