lemons and water 5

I watched as her small white car pulled out of the student parking lot and turned left. I saw it turn left a lot.
Her face was somewhat flush, red form the heat I supposed. And her hair was blown affray. Yet she was still beautiful.
An injustice occurred then. My mind was snapped away from the small car out the window and back to the ruler that snapped against my desk. I guess that even my own name could not snag my attention when I was thinking of her.
“Are you through?” she asked. Her face was eased with a look of nonchalance, yet there was a fury burning in the depths of her eyes. I nodded quickly to ease the frustrations that licked the air. She walked away slowly and tossed her ruler upon her desk. She lifted the textbook to her eyes and began to read aloud to her class. I looked over the shoulder of the boy guy in front of me and flipped the pages to my book till they matched his. It was always hard to focus when she was on my mind. It was like I was always drunk on even the mere thought of the scent of her hair, and the warmth of her smile.
After class I caught up with David. He ran on, talking about Cathy, the new girl in school. But she did not interest me too much. My thoughts rested elsewhere.
We walked over to my car and watched the bodies scatter from campus waiting till it was clear to pull out. When we got to the gate leaving the student lot, I turned right. Wishing that I had the guts to turn left.
Leanna awoke drenched in sweat. Her body was almost overcome by convulsions. She was furious. She looked around the dimly lit room at the surroundings that rested in the sleepy room. There was a scent that burned her nostrils. She knew it was superficial, yet the thought of it was enough to burn. She pulled herself off the couch and moved over to the stairwell. After lifting one leg at a time, she made it to her cozy room that was heated like a sauna. The sound of the window opening brought ease to her body as she let the cool air drift into the darkened cave of her bedroom. The air felt like ice melting on her skin. She embraced it. She pulled off her cloths, piece by piece. Removing the moist cloth that clung to her body. She tossed her sore limbs upon the cool covers that were tucked tightly on her bed.
In the corner of her thoughts there was a slight throbbing sensation. She opened the dower to her nightstand. The one that held her secrets, and she pulled out a small bottle of pills. She opened them in a rush, eager to stop the pain before it began. She knew that it would ease her pain, but not heal the cause.
