My Best Friends Brother (Ch.6)

"Jessie!" I yelled. She turned around.

"Heather!" she yelled back. We ran into each other and hugged.

"What happened to your face?"

"Don't ask. Long story. But...I have a plan."

"Finally! I was wondering when you were gonna ask James out." Jessie said.

"Who are you talking about? I don't like him. I like Shane. I told you that." I replied. getting annoyed.

"Oh yeah,huh? Okay, what is it?"

"So you know the dance that's coming up? Well, when the slow songs comes on, he's probably gonna be sitting alone. So I'll just dance with him and--"

"Dance with who?" I turned around and Shane was right behind me. Great. I thought. I gave Jessie a mortified look and pulled Shane aside.

"Ok look. I know this is gonna sound weird, but I like--" I started.

"I already know, heather."

"You do?"

"Yeah, you like James." Shane laughed at the look on my face.

"Where are you getting this from? I don't like James!" I said.

"Then who do you like?"  Shane asked with a hopeful look.

"I'm not telling you! But you are going to that dance!" I yelled at him.

He walked away confused.

"Shake shake shake shake a shake it!"

"I love this song!" I yelled into Beth's ear. Nobody could hear. She just nodded her head.

Then Forever came on. If me and Shane ever got together I would definaltly want this to be or song. I got so excited and nervous as I spotted Shane taking no interest in the dance, but instead hanging out with his friends. I came up to him.

"Sup, Shane? wanna dance?" I kept it simple.

"Um, I can't right now." Shane said smiling, looking behind me. I gasped. Jessie comes walking up, doesn't even say hi, and walks past. She graps Shane's hand and walks back to the dance floor. I wanted to cry, but the dance was almost over.

"What the hell was that?" I asked Jessie.

"Oh, that. That was nothing." Jessie said, trying to innocent.

"I can't believe this! You knew that I liked him, and you go up and dance with him."

Then Shane comes strutting up, still wearing that pathetic face.

"Do you wanna know who I like?" I yelled at him. "YOU!"
