Memories ch. 20

"Not anymore," I said slowly.

"I’ll miss you" he said still looking straight at me.

"It won’t be that long"

"I know but you better call me every morning and every night, okay?"

"Twice a day, I dunno." I was playing with him but I didn’t show it, I stayed with a straight face.

"Sam! Come on, please call me, or, or I’ll have to.."

"You’ll have to what??" I said kidding.

"I’ll stop giving you kisses and hugs."

"That a promise?"

"You know you would be miserable without me"

"Im gonna spend 2 weeks without you"

"Ya and your going to be miserable"

"Am not, I’ll be in Hawaii, I’ll be to busy to remember them"

"Come on Sam, please call me, please"

"Okay I’ll call you everyday, now I really got to go"

"Okay," he walked down to dad’s car with me.

"Sam are you ready now?" Dad said.

Ms. Ann was standing by Abby. I walked up to Ms. Ann. She looked down at me and smiled.

"Take care Sam, and watch your friend Abby, and most of all make sure your Dad doesn’t get lost in Hawaii"

We both knew dad got lost very easily.

"Okay Ms. Ann"

"Sam call me Jodi"

"Okay Jodi," she smiled at me again and I smiled back.

We got in the car and I turned on the radio, it was already set to Abby’s favorite music station and she started singing to it. My dad just looked straight and smiled, Abby sang very well. She was even in chorus, she was one of the best. When we arrived at the airport, it was full with travelers. My dad went into the line and told Abby and me to get something to eat since Abby had forgotten to bring something along. She went to one of the food stands. While she waited I saw two kids standing by a bench with 2 small backpacks. They were really young. Abby was still in line, so I went up to them. They were all alone.

"Hi, what are your names?" I wasn’t going to leave them all alone.

The little girl spoke, "My names Holly and my brothers name is Matt, what’s your name?"

"My name is Samantha but you can call me Sam," I smiled.

"Oh, hi Sam"

"Yea, hi Sam," the little boy said.

"Hey Matt, where are your parents?" I asked.

"We don’t know, our older brother was suppose to be watching us but we saw a stand with stuffed animals and wanted one."

"Where were your family going to go to?"

"Hawaii," they both said.

"We are going to Hawaii too, why don’t I help you find your parents."

"We?," Holly said.
