That night I called Richard and told him about the two great guys I met on my trip so far. He was surprisingly cool with it. We talked for the whole night and I got to laugh with him. We talked about what I missed back at home and what silly things he had done with Tyler and Will that day. I so badly wanted to go back and see them. It was almost the end of January now. I wanted to go back into the freezing cold water and see if I could last without being chilled to the bone.
The rest of the trip was fun. It allowed time for Tim, Mickey, and Abby to hang out with me, even little Holly and Matt came along. Tim and Mickey had settled they’re differences and were buddies at the end of the trip. All something surprising happened during the trip, Mickey and Abby hooked up. That was a really great trip to Hawaii, the only thing that had been missing was Richard but I knew there would be more trips and more exciting adventures.
After the trip was over, we said our good byes to one another and exchanged every way possible of human contact; phone numbers, emails, screen names, and even addresses just incase any of them ever decided to visit. I always stayed in contact with all of them and on summers they came to visit us; see where the addresses came into place. Tim, Holly, Matt, and Mickey’s parents would allow them to stay with us for a whole month with my dad and me during each summer. It worked out for my dad and me since for a month it wouldn’t only be two people in our house. Even more when Richard, Abby, Tyler, and Will came over everyday after school we would hang out and play games. Just like Hawaii again except this time it included Richard and the guys.
A couple years later, Tim hooked up with a girl named Jaylin. Jaylin became another best friend of mine; she was so pretty and nice. Jaylin was the perfect girl for Tim and I was real happy with my life, everything worked out for my friends and me. It was one of my fondest memories and maybe that is why I still remember it today. Now I’m 29 and Im married to Richard. Tim is married with Jaylin. Tyler and Will are my single guys, they go out and party most of the nights, sometimes I join them and if anything got out of control Tyler and Will would be at my side to defend for me. They are still two of my best friends. Abby and Mickey aren’t married yet but they’re living with each other as Richard and my next-door neighbors. I know for a fact that Mickey is popping the question TONIGHT. I also know for a fact Abby would say yes since she’s madly in love with him now. Holly and Matt both graduated college. Holly now lives in Florida as a model and Matt decided to move to California to be a movie producer.
In the end, you just have to face what you have and see where it leads you.Comments
