Why Does He Love Me And Why Do I Love Him? Chapter 20

"I'm gonna miss you to daddy." I started crying and the nurse that gave me the note came over and sat beside me. I leaned my head on her shoulder and cried. We sat there talking about my dad and a bunch of other stuff. I cried for hours and hours. And she never left my side, I don't know why, but I'm glad she stayed there. I needed someone with me and I didn't want to wake anyone up. We was just sitting in the hallway for hours and hours. She just sat there listening to be complain and cry my eyes out. She was a really nice lady and I really appreceated everything she did for me.

"Katie we have been sitting here for awhile do you want me to get you anything. Like water or food, I haven't seen you touch anything and with all the stress you have been threw today you really need something." She got up off the floor and then helped me up.

"Yeah can you please show me where I could get some coffee."

"I'll go get it for you. Go see your friend I bet he is up and is wondering where you are." She gave me and hug and walked away. She was really nice to me. I walked to Rodger's room and she was right he was up.

"Where the hell have you been. I have been worried sick about you." He tried to sit up but he was to weak to.

"Rodger your gonna hurt yourself plz don't move. I was in the hall reading a note my dad wrote to me and a couple other people." He looked really mad.

"It took you 3 hours to read a note."

"No it took me 1 min. But I was upset and I just sat in the hallway and this really nice nurse sat with me and made me feel better. But I have to go and give Danni this note and call Sammy and tell her about our dad. I will back later. Don't try to move again." I walked out of the room and ran right into the nurse that went to go get me coffee. The coffee went everywhere, including on me and her.

"Omg I'm so sorry Katie I didn't mean to get this all over you I'll go get you some more." She started whipping off her scrubs.

"No,no it's okay I should of been paying attention to where I was going. I have a question for you though. Do you know a Sandy Caldwell. She is a nurse here."

"Yeah she help work on your father last night. She new him I guess. Why?" We started walking to the caffiteria to get me more coffee.

"She is my aunt. I was gonna see if she was here so I could tell her about him but I guess she already knows."

"Yeah she went home and was really upset. She comes back in at 5 if you are still here I will be glad to tell her you are looking for her." We got to the caffeteria and she got me my coffee. We talked a little more and then she went back to work and I went into the waiting room and everyone was awake. Eddie, Hope, and Nick looked at me weird.

"Katie where the hell have you been." Hope came up and gave me a hug. "None of us knew where you were. Eddie was so worried."

"I was talking to a nurse about my dad. I'll talk to ya'll later though, I have to go talk to Danni." I walked over to Danni and sat beside her.

"How are you doin' Katie."

"I could be doin' better. How about you?"

"I miss him."

"I know you do. Where is Daily?"

"Sandy came and got her late last night. She asked if I wanted to go to but I thought I would stay here for you."

"Yeah. Well I have something for you." I handed her the note and just left her there to read it. I thought she would better off reading it alone. I would come back to check on her later. I went out side and got my cell phone out of the truck and called Sammy. It was time for her to know what happened.

RING RING RING

"Hello." A guy answered her phone it sounded like Dustin.

"Dustin is that you? Where the hell is Sammy?" I was so afraid he hurt her.

"Sammy is a little tied up right now. But I'll be glad to tell her that the skank that broke my damn nose called. Oh and your next." He started laughing and then hung up the phone.
