Katie's POV
I was still sitting in the back of the truck when Hope just randomly jumps in the back of the truck takes a cigarette and starts smoking.
"Hopie Pooh why the hell are you smoking my cigarettes get your own." I tried taking the cigarette from her but she kept moving away from me. "Fine keep it but you owe me. I'm almost out in the first place so you get to buy my next pack. Deal."
"Fine. I'll call my sister and tell her to pick me 2 packs up."
"Aww..... Hopie Pooh your gonna give me 2 packs how sweet." We both started laughing.
"Hell no. You get a pack and then I will have a pack. You might be my best friend and I might love you but I'm not gonna give you 2 packs of cigarettes." We started laughing even harder. All you could hear was laughter for about 5 minutes. " Katie Bug you gonna tell me what that note said? It realy hurt you and Eddie both. I would love to help you." Hope of course broke the laughter, she was good at that. "Katie Bug come on let me help you."
"Rodger still loves me, he said he was gonna ask me to marry him. What am I gonna do? I’m in love with Rodger and Eddie. Who do I pick?" I took another cigarette out and lite it up. Took on huge drag of it and I felt better. Smoking always made me feel better.
"First off stop smoking so much, you smoke more than me, Nick, and Eddie put together. Second you are to young to get married. Yes you might me in the 8th grade but you are to young. You are like really smart Katie Bug, use your head. You are the youngest in our grade because you skipped a grade, you are now dating a guy that is your age. Buddy is 16, your almost 14. I love you Katie and if you want my honest opinon I think you should pick Eddie. He won’t cheat on you like Buddy did, and he also hasn’t broke your heart. He loves you Katie Bug he is in love with you. And when he came up there and sat next to us he looked heart broken. Pick him, he’s the best choice." Hope gave me a huge hug and then took out another cigarette. We finished smoking and talked a little more. And then we decided to go back and see how everything was going.
Eddie’s POV
"Dude Katie loves you and you know she does. Rodger betrayed her, she is way to smart to go back to him. Ya’ll will work out believe me you will." I ignored him I was waiting on Rodger’s mom to come back in the waiting room. I wanted to ask her if I could go talk to Rodger.But Kevin's doctor came into the room and sat beside me and Nick.
"Do you know where Mr. Caldwell's daughter is?" He looked very upset.
"Yeah she is outside smoking and talking to Hope. She was really upset and needed time alone."
"Well she isn't gonna like what I have to say." He got up and was about to leave and I jumped in front of him and so did Nick.
"What do you mean she's not gonna like what you have to say. What happened to Kevin?" Pushed him in the chair he was sitting in and me and Nick stood infront of him. "TELL US NOW OR YOUR NOT FUCKING LEAVING." I didn't mean to yell at him but I really wanted to know.
"Sir I can't tell you unless your family. I'm sorry now please move out of my way I need to go find Mr. Caldwell's daughter and tell her the bad news." He pushed me and Nick out of the way and was almost out of the room.
"HER NAME IS KATIE DAMNIT. KATIE OKAY. USE HER DAMN NAME." And as I said that he turned around and looked at me.
"Fine I have to go find Katie." He turned back around and that's when I seen her.
"What about me?Why did you have to find me? What happened?" She looked so worried. I wanted to just take her away from here, from everything. I just wanted her to feel better. I don't want her hurt anymore.
