Chapter six

An unwelcome reunion

Reaper stayed at Angela’s house for the next few days recovering from the poison. "Well what are you going to do now?" Asked Angela checking all of the old wounds making sure they all healed properly. "Don’t know. I think I’ll move on, but I can’t leave you. I told you too much and they will come after you." Reaper told her checking that everything was left were he left it. "What do you mean?" asked Angela moving into the kitchen. She grabbed a can of cat food and scoped it into a small bowl. "You have a cat?" Reaper asked changing the subject. "No this stray just comes around at this time. He has weird eyes." She said moving towards the door. "Like they can penetrate your soul?" Reaper asked smiling. "Yea!" Angela said a bewildered look on her face. A scratching was heard at the door. Angela opened the door to let in a black cat. He was a regular black cat but his eyes. "Hello Renji." Reaper said moving towards the cat. "Reaper! What are you doing here?" asked Renji an astonished look on his face. "You can talk!" Angela shouted dropping the bowl full of cat food. "Did you tell her?" asked Renji a serous look on his face. "Yes, I did tell her but only the basics." Reaper replied. "You FOOL!" Renji shouted. "You are in bad enough trouble as it is! Their on your tall Reaper. They probably are here now!" Renji shouted. Reapers face grew grave. "Angela pack your things we got to get out of here now!" Reaper rushed to the closet and pulled out his sword and pistol. He made sure the auto pistol was loaded then put it in its holster. "Why do I have to pack? What is going on Reaper?" she asked. "They tracked me. The Anima Collectors. We must go NOW!" Reaper yelled

Reaper was the first out of the door. Then Angela and at last Renji. Reaper quickly served the surroundings then moved to the middle of the plaza his hand on his sword. "HI REAPER!" shouted a voice in the ally. A woman with long orange hair came out. She was wearing an Anima Collector uniform. "I missed you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! Why did you have to leave? The squad has missed you but they won’t admit it!" She said with a wink. "Kimmy, you ruined it!" yelled another voice. Another woman came out. She had short cut black hair and brown eyes. Wearing the same uniform as the other. "Janelle, Kimberly how you doing?" asked Reaper still keeping his hand on the katana. "Fine." Janelle said. "Who is all here?" asked Reaper looking around for others. "Joey, Casey, Billy, Rico, Dante. The whole squad 15. Were supposed to bring you in alive, but I don’t think you’ll do that." Janelle said drawing her sword. Kimberly did the same. "Renji get Angela out of her." Reaper said quietly. "Let’s leave this to the professionals shall we?" Asked Renji. Angela nodded then the two ran off. "Shall I get them?" Asked Kimberly looking to Janelle. "No let the others get them." Janelle replied moving to the other side of Reaper. The two sisters charged Reaper. One was at his back while the other was at his front. Reaper blocked a slash from Kimberly but felt Janelle’s blade cut across his back. The curse was starting to act up. ‘Not now. Please not now!’ Reaper thought franticly. Janelle rushed forward moving her sword in an arc. Reaper quickly side stepped her and slashed her back. A large gash could be seen across her back. Kimberly rushed forward moving her sword in a downward arc. Reaper also side stepped the attack and slashed at her side. The two sisters regrouped grasping their wounds. Reaper felt pain shoot down his arm. He grasped his shoulder as the curse woke. Reaper threw off his trench coat knowing what will happen. The clothe ripped off as the curs glowed. Janelle and Kimberly watched in horror. The snake like tattoo stated to wriggle. Reaper watched as they slowly and painfully started to move. Some went up his neck others went down his back, arm, and chest. Reaper fell to his knees and started to cough up blood. After a large pool of dark blood Reaper stood up. He grabbed what was left of his shirt and ripped it off. "That’s the mark of the shadow one! That explains everything. Why you didn’t take your shirt off. Why you never went to the hospital even after a huge fight. Why you always made sure we never tried to bring some back. How you knew so much about what would happen if you did." Janelle said her eyes wide. "We can get him easer. He lost all of his spiritual energy. It was in his one of his lessons." Kimberly said moving to stand with her sister. "You should realize I have other ways of defending myself." Reaper said grabbing his trench coat and pulling it on. Reaper held his arms away from his body. He reached deep down and found what was their. A red light came out of the tattoos on his palms. It slowly made its way up his arm until it reached his shoulder. "Its demonic power. A gift from the demon that makes its home inside me." Reaper said. Janelle and Kimberly stood their starring at the red glow. Reaper pulled his arms as far back as they would then clapped his hands. A large explosion came from the clap. The ground crumbled and the dumpsters, trash cans. The walls of the other house crumbled and fell into rubble. Kimberly and Janelle flew back and landed heavily in a pile of rubble. Reapers arms were cut deep. His face was bruised and cut. Reaper took a couple of deep breaths trying to calm himself. "Janelle! Kimberly!" Yelled voices from the ally. The rest of squad 15 came out of the ally. Dante had red hair tied back. Rico stood with his hand on his sword. Joey Casey and Billy looked in horror at the ruined plaza. "Squad." Reaper said nodding his head. "Were not your squad anymore! Not since you ran and left us all!" Shouted Casey. He was almost as tall as Reaper. Casey had brown hair and was buff. Billy was shorter then the rest but was just as powerful. "You think I have been doing nothing but running! I have been helping the Chimera resistance. I have been fighting the dark elves in the mines of the Dertha Mountains. I have been to Isabel helping people to escape the military. Satin has been covering it all up." Reaper laughed. "Come with us Reaper! We want to help you!" Dante begged moving forward. "Help Janelle and Kimberly. I will see you guys later." Reaper said reaching into his pocket and pulling out a black ring. Green runes covered it and has it touched Reapers skin they glowed. Reaper held the ring up and disappeared in a flash of green. Squad 15 looked around to see they were in a empty plaza.
