I woke up in a new world...
He was still grasping me tightly, I felt myself floating , sinking down, down... I gasped when he let go. Taking in the air needily. The air was murky, but I could care less. I looked up at him. He was so tall compared to my five one frame. I opened my mouth to scream again, but was silenced when I saw the girls eyes. She was inches away from my face, and I couldn't make her out, for she was so wispy. Slowly her appearance became more apparent. Her eyes were very dark. Although her face was extremely pale white. She had long fiery red hair as straight as my flat iron. The rest of her appearance seemed cloudy.
She looked deeply into my eyes. It felt like she was devouring my soul. I wasn't breathing again, and felt myself growing weaker. She pulled away from me with great difficulty. I fell to the hard gravel below me, to be instantly lifted by the guy with all the scary cuts on his face. He held onto me soothingly. Tracing his ice cold fingers around my cheeks. I remained silent. Unmoving.
The girl was floating up agian. Higher and higher until I could only make out her eyes. I was shaking all over. I had know idea where I was, and I didn't want to know. The girl let out a high pitched giggle. "You can let go of her now Pillan. Try to restrain yourself. You know what you have to do." With that she kept fading, until I couldn't see her at all.
I felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted away from me. My breathing returned to semi normal, and hesitantly I felt Pillan loosed his grasp on me. I pulled away further, looking around more. We were on a long gravel road. All the gravel black, the sky black. Everything was so dark. I couldn't see much else. I looked up at pillan. He was so pale, it was like he was light of this place. I could make him out perfectly. His bare chest, was so skinny, I could see bones I didn't know existed. His arms were very muscular though.
I opened my mouth to say sommething again. "Why a" He stopped me with his gaze. It had softened considerably. He even looked pained. Deeply. I almost felt sorry for him, I didn't know why though. When he first spoke, I was surprised at how gentle his voice was. "You remind me of her. Your softer though." He spoke slowly. As though he had to analyze his thoughts before he would share them.
I looked at him confused. "Her?" I pointed my gaze upward. He shook his head. "No. We should get going before..." He trailed off. "Wait!" I demanded. "Where am I? Who do I remind you of? Who was that girl, and why the hell am I even here!" My mind was racing. I wanted to run away. I had no idea where the hell I would even begin though.
He looked down at me seriously. "You should watch what you say. She pops up out of no where. You'd be wise to keep even your thoughts hidden." He looked skyward, and I got what he meant. He started walkng down the long gravelly trail, his body my only source of light. I had no choice but to follow...
