Authors note: Sorry the storysslow going but I have limited time on the computer because I've got to share with my family)

"Heres ya coffee," he slowly handed me the drink carfully and sat down like he was in slow-motion.

"Yummy!" I say loud enough to attract attention. A old man with bug eye glasses and wispy white hair closely observed us. Jesse looked at the old man in fear. Aha! He was up to somthing! But what? I asked myself.

"Are ya going to drink your coffee?" Jesse questioned not looking me in the eye.

"Why is there somthing in it thats so speical?" I inhaled the steam to see if there was.

"Okay! You caught me!" He put his hands behind his head. "I put lots of cinnamon in it to make you sneeze. Whatz the charge?" he chuckled, while I started to giggle uncontrolably.

"Eternal slavery, the usaul," I commented as causal as I could after I stopped.

Jesse's eyes glittered and a big goofy smile played on his face. "What?" I asked. What did I do/or say to make him look at me like I was a godess.

"You remembered!" he almost yelled in excitment."Do you remember everything? Do ya? Do ya?" he asked eagerly.

I was about to ask what but then I remembered my childhood years that I spent almost every minute with him. "Duh! Why would't I?" I didn't want to hurt him by being surprised that I remembered just now."I shared a bunch of firsts with you, didn't I?"

He got excited and so did I now as he launched into the story of our first time to amustment park when we were 5 and how we got soaking wet at the water park before we even changed in to swim-suits.

We had laughed and retold stories of our childhood the rest of the ride to Port Townsend.

"Passengers, we will be shortly arriving to P.T. so passengers on upper decks please go onto the car deck. Thank you, we hoped you enjoyed your ride," the caption's deep husky voice vibrated off the speakers.

"Wow! Time flys by when your chatting with a green-eyed monster," I teased as Jesse and I drifted through the crowd to the stairs that would lead down to the car deck.

"Ha ha!" Jesse said and gave me a big eye roll. My heart was in over drive from laughing and lookin at his face. "Well then I guess your the Blue-Eyed Beast!" he chuckled lightly.

"But I'm too pretty to be a beast!" I whined. We reached the stairs and Jesse grabbed my elbow firmly leading me slowly down the stairs. I knew why too, because people were pushing one another to get down the steep steps and into there cars.

"Watch it!" Jesse growled as a middle-aged man roughly pushed me. Jesse looked angry.

The man looked up like he was about punch Jesse, but he seemed to weigh the odds and decided that he would lose if a fight was started  and walked on but not without a dirty look towards me like I caused the whole thing.

"That guy looked like he was bout to knock you out," I commented concerned as I shut the door to his red Ford.

He noted the concern in my voice, he liked I was concerned about him."It wouldn't be the first time I went to the e.r. because me and a strangered tussled because a stanger didn't treat a lady right," he looked over at me to check my reaction as we pulled onto the road but I managed to keep my astronagment to myself. "You sounded concerned. Why is that?" he sounded curius.

I blushed deeply, I could feel the sudden hotness in my cheeks. "Because your my new or old best friend what ever you want to call it," I quickly turned my head to pretend to be interested at the P.T. Safeway.

Jesse smiled to himself, Ohmigosh! Will he ever stop smiling? If he keeps it up my heart will stop in tirely! "Just friends?" he raised his eyebrows.

I was entirly speechless....
