Party Hard feat. Corbin Bleu

Chapter 1
ITS NOT THAT I DONT LIKE PARTIES………
I just don’t like going to them. It’s crowded; I always get shoved and tossed around like a freakin football. I lose my friends and end up sitting next to the drunken football player who always thinks that I’m hitting on them. It sucks. But every year I end up going to what’s supposed to be the best party of the century. Corbin Bleu’s party. I know you’re thinking, ‘Then why go?’ Well, I have friends that love to party. A little too much if you ask me. Regine is always the one who gets invited to these parties because she knows him, they’re like, cousins. Regine and Eliza are my best friends. They’re cool. But, Eliza is the craziest party girl I think, in the world. Every time she hears the word party she gets crazy. Last Corbin Bash, She got so drunk, when I found her, she was passed out on the roof! THE ROOF!! How she got up there, I have no idea.
Every year I try to get out of it, and every year Regine and Eliza would pursuay me to go.
“It will be fun.” They would say. “I promise we’ll stick together.” But it never happens.
Anyway, this party was supposed to be the one to top all of his parties. His 18th birthday party. Everyone who is anyone was going to be there, so you know for sure I was going.
“Hurry up Reggie, how long does it take to get ready?” I shouted.
“Dude, I’m totally ready to party tonight.” Eliza came out of the kitchen. Regine walked down the stairs with skin tight jeans and a mid drift red shirt on with a Rasta-colored wrist band.
“Perfection takes time Ginny, you can’t rush me.” She yelled back at me.
“Whatever, I’m driving tonight.” I said.
“No way, I’m driving. Why do you always get to drive?” with Eliza, it never gets old.
“E, do you really think you should drive? Think about it, someone has to be responsible, and let’s be serious.” I explained.
“Gees, Gin, you’re such a freakin’ nerd. Loosen up it’s a freakin’ party.” Eliza always complained about the obvious.
“So are we leaving or not because I could be in the bathroom fixing my hair.” Regine said. We left the house and went in the car.
Chapter 2
USUALLY THE PARTY STARTS AT THE PARTY…..
But tonight, the party started in the car. Eliza turned the music up way loud in my car and she felt the need to sing every single song that came on.
“Eliza, we don’t need to have the music up that loud!” I screamed at the top of my lungs.
“What?!!” She yelled.
“I said—“I was cut off by Regine that turned the music down.
“You guys I forgot to tell you, okay when we get there, we have to get checked off at the door.”
“I’m not waiting in line for a stupid party Reggie. You know that.” I said.
“Ayyy bro, that’s when the party starts, in line, Ohhh this is going to be awesome.”Eliza said.
“Chill ax G, we don’t have to wait in line we just got to get checked off at the door.” Regine explained. When I stopped at the stop light I saw a sweet yellow Corvette with dark tinted windows, ‘flippin sweet’, I thought. I wish I had something like that; I pulled up next to the yellow sweetness in my busted 1999 green buggy. The window suddenly rolled down on this sweet car and all I saw was a bunch of brown curly hair wavy freely out the window.
“Hey Corby,” Regine smiled and waved at him.
“Are you guys headed to the party”? Corbin asked us.
“Heck yes we are!” said Eliza, popping her body out the window I almost thought she was going to fall out.
“Hi, Ginny.” He said me. I waved and smiled and drove off. We didn’t really know each other to well, me and Corbin. But he knew my name, and I knew his.
“Did you see that girl in the passenger side?” Regine asked me.
“I wasn’t really paying attention.” I replied.
“Well,” she continued, “That’s Corbin’s new girl, I guess.”
“That’s nice.” I said. Regine looked at me for a moment. Like I was supposed to get upset that the girl in the car was with Corbin. I didn’t care I didn’t like him like that. I didn’t even know him, really.
Chapter 3
WE ARRIVED AT THE PARTY……
And of course it was really crowded. The line was backed up to the next house. Man I was glad that I didn’t have to wait. I got to admit, it felt real cool passing by all of the people in the line. I saw everyone in line. Even the two Corbin crazed fans Holly and Jewel. They were dressed in matching Corbin Bleu shirts. They’re young, only in the 10th grade. I just didn’t understand how they could be so obsessed with a boy. But they were the nicest girls.
“Hey Ginny,” they both yelled out, waving.
“Hey you guys.” I said back. I wanted to stop and talk to them but Regine kept waving me in the front door.
When we got in, Regine said the same thing she always says when we enter parties:
“Okay, Seriously, We stick together no matter what.” Of course when her cousin Keda waved at her she was gone. And it was just me and Eliza. Until Eliza saw a big keg. Then I was alone again. Not even 5 minutes we’ve been here and I’ve been abandoned. I was pushed and shoved into a big mosh pit with 12 big football players tossing me around until I finally found away out. I saw DeShawn my lab partner on the couch sitting all alone.
“Finally,” I said to him, “Someone I can talk to.”
“Yeah,” he said.
“So, how did you get invited here?” I asked.
“I help him with his homework. What about you?” he asked.
“Oh, I’m here with friends.” I was cut off by some announcer.
“Ladies and Gentlemen. The reason why you stand here tonight, Corbin Bleu.” He announced and everyone started clapping as he stood at the top of the stairs. On his arm, was an exotic looking girl with beautiful long wavy hair. Yep, she was the infamous Spanish model Kimssiej. She only goes by one name. She was known for her crazy club fight with Lindsay Lohan over some random guy a couple months back. Apparently Kimssiej won the fight, but I don’t know I wasn’t there.
All I heard as they walked down the stairs was all of these voices whispering, ‘Kimssiej….Fight…..Lindsay….Ripped her hair out’ I looked around as Corbin and Kimssiej walked down the stairs and with their entourage. I guess I was in the way a little. A girl with a cell phone in her hand kind of brushed me aside.
“Get out of the way.” She said. I rolled my eyes at her. But I end up moving. I hate celebrities. Out of no where Eliza jumped in front of her and spilled her drink all over the girl with the cell phone.
“What do you think you’re doing?” The cell phone girl said.
“Oh, I’m sorry, dude. Look, I’ll try to get it out.” Eliza got some napkins and started to wipe off the spill on her shirt.
“Bella come on!” Kimsseij grabbed the cell phone girl, Bella’s hand and Bella gave Eliza a mean look. I laughed.
“I got your back G!” Eliza waved her cup at me as she walked away. Regine and Keda walked up to me and with shocked looks on their faces.
“What happened?” Keda asked.
“Eliza, my friend, spilled her drink on that girl.” I explained.
“Oh man, do you know who that is?” She said.
“No,” I said, “but apparently her name is Bella.”
“That’s Kimssej’s assistant. She has a bad attitude. I feel sorry for Eliza.” Regine said. They invited me to go with them while they hang in the VIP section. I didn’t have anything to do so I went.
Chapter 4
“AND SO I TOLD HER WHATEVER……
And she didn’t say anything back, because she’s scary.” Kimssiej was proud of that fight I guess, because she kept talking about it all night. It was about 10 o clock and I was feeling really tired. I was going to ask Regine is she wanted to go, but she was too busy listening to Kimssiej bragging.
“She’s not lying you know,” A girl that was sitting next to me said, “Hi, my name is Taylor, Corbin’s best friend.”
“Oh, that’s cool. I’m Ginny.” I replied.
“Are you enjoying the party?” She asked me.
“Oh, yeah. It’s good.” I was lying I felt miserable. I really wanted to go home. I looked over towards Kimssiej and Corbin. They looked like they were having the best time throwing their heads back and laughing after everything Kimssiej said. I got up and went over to Regine.
“I’m going to look for Eliza.” I said to her.
“Oh, okay.” She wasn’t listening to a word I said. As I went to look for Eliza, I heard yelling outside I went to go see what it was and sure enough, it was Eliza and Bella going at it.
“Shut up, before I knock you out,” said Bella.
Eliza was just standing there looking at her straight in her eyes, thinking ‘I want to beat you up so bad.’
All of a sudden Bella threw a punch at Eliza and everyone gathered around as Eliza was just standing there with a bloody nose.
Then out of no where, Eliza fired on Bella and that’s when the fight really started.
Of course there was hair grabbing, but Eliza grew angry as she socked her a few times, and Bella’s face turned red.
“Eliza what are you doing!” I yelled.
I thought she would stop fighting after I said that, but instead, she was on top of Bella socking her, Bella rolled over and then did the same to Eliza.
Three minutes into the fight Corbin came running with two football players trailing his every step.
Corbin and the jocks grabbed both the girls, and Eliza was going crazy, I mean seriously, she was socking the air, until one of her punches lands on Corbin’s lip.
“Gees!!”, Corbin said, while falling on the ground and the stupid, drunk jocks put Bella down, and you could guess what happened next, yep Bella threw a few punches and Eliza did the same until…..
Chapter 5
I SNATCHED ELIZA. ….
And pushed her to the side.
“CALM DOWN!!” I yelled. Eliza stopped swinging because she did not want to hit me.
“She started it!” Eliza yelled back. I saw Bella getting up and as soon as she moved towards Eliza and me, Corbin swung her around towards the door.
“You know better than to start fights at my parties!” Corbin yelled at Bella. Bella stomped back into the house and Eliza was taunting her as I backed Eliza to my car.
“Get in the car Eliza.” I said.
“Man, get away from me with that G” She said.
“Do I look like I’m playing E, get in the car before the Corbin calls the cops!” I quietly said to her. Eliza and I went to the car. I was so mad. Even though I wanted to leave I didn’t want to leave like this I opened the door so Eliza could get in and someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and Corbin was there with his bloody lip that Eliza caused.
“We’re leaving okay?” I explained to him.
“You don’t have to leave,” he said. “I don’t think it was all her fault, I know Bella probably started it, too.”
“No,” I said, “It’s getting late and Eliza doesn’t look so good.”
“Your girl, Eliza has a mean punch on her.” He laughed a little.
“Yeah, sorry about that. Look, I had a lot of fun, but, I got to go.” I started to walk towards the driver’s side of my car but then, Corbin grabbed my hand.
“Please? Come on, it’s my Birthday.” He smiled. He has an awesome smile. Even with the busted lip. It made me giggle. I never giggle. I looked down and looked back up at him. He was waiting for my answer.
“Okay,” I continued, “on one condition….”
“What’s that?” He had an unsure look on his face. I pointed to Holly and Jewel.
“You personally invite those girls into your party.” He looked at me.
“Done.” He walked right to the girls and I followed him.
Chapter 6
I SAW HOLLY AND JEWEL…….
Faces as Corbin came walking towards them. A big smile grew on the girls faces. I thought Jewel was going to pass out.
“Hey ladies.” Corbin used a sultry voice to make his self sound so cool.
“Hi Corbin.” The both said, looking at each other in shock.
“Why are you in line?” he asked like he had no idea why.
“We’re waiting to get in.” Jewel said.
“How long have you been waiting?” Corbin smiled.
“Almost three hours now.” Holly was so happy to talk to Corbin. I was thinking, ‘three hours? I would have left a long time ago.’
“No, that’s unexceptional. You girls come in with me.” Corbin grabbed both of the girl’s hands and escorted them into his party. He’s a nice guy. I honestly thought he was going to be a jerk.
I remembered Eliza in the car. I looked towards her and she was gone. She could never stay in one place for a long time. I shook my head and followed Corbin and the girls into the party.
Corbin gave the girls a kiss on the cheek and they both nearly melted to the ground. He looked at me and I smiled. I turned into the kitchen to get some ice for his lip. When I looked up Corbin waved me up the stairs and we went on to the balcony.
“I didn’t think you were going to do it.” I said.
“Why, did you think I was some shallow superstar?” He asked.
“Honestly, yeah.” I laughed, but Corbin just stared down and it made me stop laughing. “Sorry.” I felt bad.
“It’s okay. Everybody thinks that. Sometimes you just want to get away from that life. The people, the scene, it gets old, you know?” I could see he was serious. He was for real.
“Well, don’t worry, as long as you don’t lose yourself you should be fine, right?” I tried to boost his confidence. But he just looked so sad. He put his head down and I picked it up. He’s so gorgeous. I smiled at him and it made him smile back. And we talked all night. We talked about his career and about his family. I can’t believe he was so real. He wasn’t anything I ever thought.
The night grew darker and I looked at my watch. It was 2 o clock in the morning!
“Wow,” I said, “we’ve been talking for hours.”
He laughed, “I’m just glad that I’m talking to someone that doesn’t revolve around themselves.”
“Well, its getting late so I better find my friends and leave.” I said. We go up and walked towards the door. He put his hand on my waist and opened the door for me. We he opened the door Bella was standing there. I looked at Corbin, his eyes grew big and Bella was just starring at us.
Chapter 7
“WHERE ARE YOU DOING CORBIN?”
Bella looked at us up and down. “Kimmy is waiting for you.” She grabbed him and started down the stairs. She looked back at me and gave me a mean look. But Corbin looked at me and waved. That made me feel good. I went down stairs to find Eliza and Regine. I saw Regine and Keda at the bottom of the stairs in a conversation.
“Hey, you guys.” I said.
“Where were you?” Keda asked. They could both tell that something was going on because I had a big smile on my face.
“Just up on the balcony.” I replied.
“With who?” Regine followed.
“It couldn’t be with Corbin, what is?” Keda asked. I smiled and turned my head. Both of the girls had a shocked look on their faces. They covered their mouths and laughed.
“How long has this been going on?” Keda asked.
“Oh please, you guys I just met him. Besides he has a Girl friend.” I said. Keda was about to talk but was interrupted by Taylor, Corbin’s best friend.
“Hey, you’re Ginny right?” Taylor said.
“Yeah. Taylor, right?” I replied.
“Yeah, listen can I talk to you? Private please?” She had a concerned look on her face.
“Sure,” I said and we went outside where the music was quieter.
“I’m sure you’re a nice girl and all but, you can’t really talk to Corbin anymore.” She said. I was shocked. I never had anyone tell who I can and can not talk to before in my life. I was speechless for a few seconds.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because…..It’s complicated. If someone was to see Corbin with someone that is well, not the supposed girl friend of Corbin, then people will talk and that would probably be the end of his career.” She tried to explain, but I didn’t get it. Corbin and I had something between us. It was unreal, like a fairy tell and now it was going to be torn because of stupid rule? I just walked away. Taylor yelled, “I’m so sorry!” but I felt like nothing. Like I wasn’t good enough to talk to him. I had my head down the rest of the night.
I sat down in a chair outside. I just couldn’t believe what I heard. It hurt so badly. I started to cry. I turned my head as I saw Regine walk towards me.
“What’s wrong?” She asked.
I wiped my tears off with my hand, “Nothing. Are you ready to go?”
“Why are you crying? Did some hurt you?” She asked. I just started crying, I couldn’t control it then. Regine left and came back with Keda.
“Oh my gosh, Ginny, what’s wrong.” Keda asked.
“I hate famous people.” I mumbled.
“Dude, I don’t think I could stand anymore, I’m so ready to go” Eliza came out of no where. I didn’t care. I got up to go back to my car. I saw Regine whisper to Keda and Keda went back into the house.
I started to race to my car. I pushed through the dying mosh pits and through the drunken couples making out. I walked out of the front door and slammed it on my way out. And before I hit my car I felt someone turn around.
Chapter 8
“DON’T TOUCH ME……
I said to Corbin as he looked at me and said, “What’s wrong with you?”
I didn’t know where to begin. I didn’t hate him, I just hated what he was and those stupid rules that came along with what he is. I just shook my head and went into my car. Regine backed him up and I heard her say, “just let her go.” She got into the car. When Eliza got in I drove off.
I was so up set; I thought what else could go wrong? And something else wrong did happen. We broke down in front of a gas station. Tonight had to have been the worst night of my life.
“Great! Freaking’ great! Oh man, why me?” I was so angry. Eliza was passed out in the back and Regine was on her cell phone. Oh I just wanted to die. I went outside.
“Gin, get back in the car,” Regine yelled, “Its 3 o clock in the morning, its dangerous out here.” I was just so mad I didn’t care. I looked under the hood of the car like I really knew what I was looking for. The night grew colder and so I got back into the car. Ten minutes later, I saw a car pulling behind us.
Chapter 9
THE CAR MOVED SLOWLY TOWARDS OURS………
Regine was so scared, but I wasn’t. I was just too mad. I looked at the car in my rearview mirror and it was the sweet yellow corvette that Corbin was driving. Sure enough, Corbin came out of the car with Keda and Taylor.
Regine came out of the car, “oh, don’t scary me like that again.” She was out of breath.
I came out of the car with Regine.
“I’m so glad you guys came. I was so scared…..” Regine kept talking and I went back towards the hood of my car. Corbin followed me but I didn’t say anything to him. He opened the hood and looked inside.
“You just need a little oil, that’s all.” He smiled at me.
“Thanks.” I said and walked towards the gas station.
“What’s wrong Ginny?” Corbin asked. I didn’t want to talk to him. I just keep walking and he walked in front of me and stopped. “You’re gonna have to tell me eventually.” I just looked at him.
“I don’t want to ruin your life.” I said and a tear rolled down my eye.
“You’re no going to ruin my life, I like you Ginny. I can talk to you.” He said.
“Look,” I explained, “you have your life, and I have mine. You’re a star, and I’m……”
“The best thing that’s ever happened to me, Gin. I always seen you with Reggie, and I always wanted to get to know you.” He grabbed my hand, and Taylor saw us and raced towards us with Keda and Regine following.
Chapter 10
“OKAY, WE NEED TO GET BACK TO THE PARTY…..
Kimssiej is waiting.” Taylor interrupted us. She started to take his hand, but he pulled away.
“Taylor, they broke down, we need to stay until we know they’re safe.” Corbin said.
“Corbin, you know what’s going to happen. You just can’t stay. What if someone sees you?” Taylor ask.
“So?” Corbin replied, “When someone’s in trouble, you help them.”
“But….” Taylor was interrupted by Keda.
“Oh, come on Tay, if he wants to help, let him help.” Keda hinted Taylor.
Taylor looked at Corbin and smiled. “Fine. But it’s late.”
“It won’t take long.” Corbin walked up to Taylor and kissed her on the cheek. “Thanks.”
She smiled and walked back to her car with Keda and Regine.
“So how’s my lip?” He asked me.
“Oh yeah, it went down.” I replied.
“Good,” he said and kissed me.
I pulled him off of me. “I thought you had a girlfriend.” I said.
“No he doesn’t!!” Keda yelled from the corvette. We laughed.
“Kimmy is my friend.” Corbin explained. I smiled and he followed my car as I drove home.
When we arrived at my house we all helped Eliza out of the car.
“Dude, Corbin, your party killed. Oh, yeah, sorry about the…..” Eliza threw up in the front yard and Keda Regine and Taylor helped her inside.
“Is she going to be okay?” He asked.
“Yeah, don’t worry. So, I’ll call you?” I said.
“Not if I call you first.” He said and we laughed, he grabbed my hand and he kissed me a little longer this time.
“Good night, Ginny.” He said. Taylor and Keda walked outside back to the car.
“Good night, Corbin.” I replied as I released the grip he had on my hand. I closed the door Regine and Eliza was looking at me.
“Good night, Corbin” they both mocked me and I laughed.
I walked up to my room and closed the door. Its weird, even though I hated parties, tonight wasn’t all that bad. Sure I got pushed around, I cried my eyes out, broke up a fight and my car broke down, tonight I met the most wonderful person, and you know what? I would trade tonight in for anything in the world.
The End.
