Phobia Madness Chapter 2

Horror Created on 6-1-07 Views(107) Story Rating G

“Maliky, wake up.”          “Uhh, did you have to wake me up this early?”          “Yes, they only take newcomers till 8:30 A.M. Come on let’s go.”          “But I’m hungry.”          “They’ll give you breakfast when you get there.”          Maliky got ready, went downstairs, then him and his mom got in the car and started to drive away.          There was an awkward silence in on the way to the dock. Maliky was looking out the window at the flowing stream beside the road. With a sudden flash a lady with long hair and beautiful eyes was rowing along with the car.          “Mom, it’s her, it’s Katie Simone!”          Mrs. Hitchcock looked over and said, “Where I don’t see anything?”          “Right there in the boat!” exclaimed Maliky not understanding how his mom couldn’t see her.          “Maliky, there’s no boat.”          “Yes there is.”          “Maliky, don’t do this while I’m driving,” yelled and aggravated Mrs. Hitchcock.          “Mom look out,” yelled Maliky as a honking red truck was passing right in there path.          Mrs. Hitchcock slammed on the breaks and came an inch from a tragic collision. As they opened the door their eyes was meeting at the same point. This point read Phobia Madness. Out of curiosity Maliky looked back at the river and the lady was gone.          Mrs. Hitchcock hopped out of the car leaving Maliky staring in awe at the river.          “I am so sorry,” said a terrified Mrs. Hitchcock.          “It’s alright, don’t worry about it. It partly my fault too,” said the truck driver who looked like he was in his 40’s.          “I noticed that your truck has Phobia Madness on it. I was just taking my son to the cruise.”          Oh really, I was just on my way when this happened.”          “Yeah, I’m sorry about that.”          “Don’t worry about it, nobody got hurt so we’re alright.”          “OK, well what do you do with the Phobia Madness Company?”          “Oh, I’m the owner, Chester Simone. If you would like I could take-“          “Maliky.”          “Maliky, the rest of the way. Tell him some of the rules we have on the cruise.”          “That would be wonderful. Thank you.”          “OK. Tell the little rascal to come on and we’ll be on our way.”          Mrs. Hitchcock went to the car and said, “Maliky come on this gentleman is going to take you the rest of the way.”           “What, I don’t want to go with him. I don’t know him. Please don’t let me go.”          “Maliky, don’t start this. I need to get back to the house so I can clean.”          “OK. But you owe me.”          “No you’re going to owe me after you stop thinking so much about these ghosts.”          “Whatever, so what’s his man’s name.”          “His name is Chester Simone.”          “Simone. Do you think he’s the husband that killed Katie?”          “No, it’s probably just a coincidence.”          “I hope so; I don’t want to be in the same truck with a murderer.”          “Be nice. Don’t mention it to him and don’t forget to call.”          “Mom I’m not a little kid anymore.”          “I know, but you’re growing up so fast.”          Honk! “Hurry up,” shouted the truck driver from his truck.          “Bye mom.”          “Bye baby.”          Maliky got his bags out of the trunk and went over to the passenger’s side of the big truck. “Just throw that stuff in the back.” Maliky walked to the back of the truck and opened the door. When he saw what was inside he almost fainted. There were ropes, knives, drums, and anything that someone would be afraid of. “Hurry up.”          Maliky threw his stuff in the back and went back up o the front. He opened the passenger’s door and jumped in.          “So I hear you have a fear of ghosts,” said Chester trying to start a conversation.          “I’m not really scared of them. I occasionally see this ghost. She scares me a little.”          “Well that’s why we made this cruise, for people like you.”          “What do you mean we?”          “My wife and I.”          Maliky sighed at the sound of my wife and I. Then he thought, “He can’t be the husband of Katie Simone because she is dead and he and his wife run the cruise and you have to be alive to do something like that.”          “We’re here. The old fish smelling dock itself. Ooh looks like we’re just in time; it’s about to set sail.”           As Maliky opened the door to the truck all his senses went to work. He smelled fish of all kinds, he heard the silent motion of the waves, he tasted the piece of gum he stuck in his mouth, he was saw an enormous boat the size of thirty elephants, and he felt nervous.           “Go to the back and get your bags while I go tell them there is one more passenger.”          “OK”          Maliky watched Chester run over to the dock and yell something. What he yelled is, “Hold on, there’s still one more passenger.”          Maliky went to the back of the truck and got his bags, then he walked over to the boat.          “Go on, I’ll find you someone to show you around.”          Maliky and Chester walked up the dock and Maliky saw this boy who looked about fifteen walking by. “Ethan stop. Do you mind to show Maliky around, he’s new here.”          “Yeah, I’ll be glad to.”          “Excellent.” Then Chester walked back down the dock.          “Hey, so what’s your phobia?”          “What, how did you know I had a fear?”          “We all have fears here.”          “Oh, so what’s yours?”          “I’m scared of the number thirteen.”          “Really, I’m scared of ghosts.”          “OK, so let’s start your tour.”          “We all have our own dorm here. You will never experience your phobia in your room.”          “Cool!”          “Yeah, now that’s Marie’s dorm. She’s afraid of numbers.”          “What, I didn’t know there was a phobia for that.”          “Yep, her teacher threatened to kill her if she didn’t get this problem right. She’s been scared ever since.”          “Scary.”          “Yeah, now this is Blake’s room. He’s scared of water.”          “What then why is he here.”          “The same reason everyone else is, to get rid of his phobia.”          “Oh.”          “Well anyways he’s not allowed to get close to the edge, he wouldn’t anyways, he’s too scared.”

AlexINTJ I was definitely not bored reading this. It sort of reminds me of the Sixth Sense and the kid protagonist mixed with that show Supernatural--continue with this--you have a good thing going. I'd love to know what happens.
