When I got to the mall to meet Beth I followed her sent to the second floor into a store called Maures. I followed her sent right to the shoe section, she was trying on a pair of red pump heals. She only had a dozen pairs of then. “ Hey Beth.”

“ Hey, how do you think these shoes look on me?”

“ Are you serious. You have thousand of those. Are we going to talk or not?”

“Yeesh! Isn’t someone cranky this afternoon?” then she made a face at me.

“ Cut it out. Grow up.” then I turned to walk away, and went to the food court. After about ten minutes Beth showed up and sat across from me in a small booth at a coffee shop. “So what do you want to talk to me about?” I whispered.

“ Well you know your creator?”

“Yeah.” I was confused because I didn’t really like to talk about the day I was reborn. “ What about it?”

“ well… um… he.. He um.”

She look like she was choking on something. I waited. “ well I don’t know how to tell you this, but he.. He took some of your blood.” as soon as she said that I felt my face turn white, and my hands started to shake. If you new anything about us vampires you would know that when vampires kill they usually drink all there blood, but for me it thought he only bit me. I didn’t know he took some of my blood, when you take the persons blood and leave them alive (or in our case, not totally kill them) they turn into a vampire, but it goes the same way when you just bite them, but when you take there blood that means that you have to marry your creator. And I didn’t like mine as much, usually they only take your blood if your in love.

“ Victoria, are you ok?” only then I realized I was hyperventilating.

“Yeah I’m ok. I have to go.” as soon as I got home I stood there in the shower running on cold, I was in there for a hour and a half, then went and sat on the couch in front of the window. Then from no were I felt something running down my cheek. I wiped it off and it was water, I was crying, I haven’t cried for 20 years. It felt so weird, but it also felt really good. So I just sat there and cried for 2 hours.

That morning I went out to grab my mail. When I got back up the elevator to the fifth floor, Alex was standing there waiting for the elevator. My through started to burn again, an the knot in my stomach came back. It wasn’t as bad as before because I ate yesterday, but it still hurt
