Love, loss and love again - 4

Romance Created on 9-15-08 Views(55) Story Rating G

It's been six months since the death of Briana's father. Its been a rocky road for Briana and her mom. Thanks to Chris, the road has been a bit smoother for Bri. Chris has been there any time Briana has burst into tears. He has even given Bri's mom a shoulder to cry on a time or two. Cyndi found comfort knowing that her daughter was being well taken care of. That she had found a one in a million kind of guy.
Finals came and went at school. Summer vacation did the same. Bri's birthday also went by without a second glance. Chris got her a charm bracelet. But there was no big party, no big get together. Her birthday was just two weeks after her father had died. She did not want to have a party. "It just doesnt seem right."
Her birthday was November 28th. She turned 15. She was just two days older than Chris, whose birthday was on the 30th. Bri got Chris a gold chain necklace. He wore it everyday. Only taking it off when he took a shower.
Before Bri knew it school was starting again. After having an emotional summer, it seemed like time had flown by for both Bri and Chris.
"So, you ready for Sophomore year Bri?"
"I think so. Are you ready?"
"Only if you're here with me baby."
Bri smiled and kissed him. They had a couple of classes together again on A day and B day. They had the same lunch again as well. Their lockers were a little farther apart, but that was okay. They always made time for each other. They had not slept together since the day after Bri's father had died. They didnt ever say that day was a mistake. Bri was glad she had lost her virginity to Chris. He was afraid that she was going to come back and tell him that it was a mistake, that it was just an emotional time and it was not suppose to happen that way. She sat him down about a week after it happened.
"I love you Chris. Thank you so much for being here for me. The day after my dad died and we made love. I want you to know that I dont regret that day for a single second. I am glad that I lost my virginity to you. I am glad that you wanted to be there for me in any way that you could be. No matter how outragious my request. You were there for me. Its something I will never forget. I dont want to just start having sex now just because we have already done it the one time and gotten it out of the way. Thats not how I see it. It happened because it was suppose to and could not have happened any other way. I love you so much. You are the only one I want to be with, but I want each time to be special, not just because we want to or because we think we have to."
"I understand baby. I am so glad you feel that way, because I thought you were going to tell me that it was a mistake and that it shouldn't have happened at all."
Bri giggled and kissed him. She put everything she had in that kiss to reassure him of how she felt.
They parted ways to get their first day of school started. The first half of the day flew by. Before they knew it, it was lunch time. Bri found their lunch table that they sat at the previous year. Seconds later she was joined by Chris. Then Jonathan and April. They exchanged their summer stories and what all had been done. Jonathan and April gave their condolances to Bri and apoligized for not being there. They had both been gone the second part of the year. April's dad had been sent oversees for the second half of the school year for a six month training period. He took his family with him. Jonathan took the second half of the year to go to a school in Europe.
"Its okay guys. I understand. I had Chris, so I was okay."
She looked at Chris and kissed him.
"So you two are still doing well I see," April said with a smile.
Bri could not help but smile from ear to ear. "Yes we are!"
Bri filled Jonathan and April in on what was going on at home and how her fathers funeral was. Jonathan and April filled Chris and Bri in on their summer abroad. They both said it would be a long while before they went back.
"It was cool. Great learning experience, but I like it here," Jonathan said as he looked at April. "Plus, I missed my girl."
"Yeah, I dont like having to move around alot. But, when dad gets stationed somewhere, we must follow. Luckily though, he has a pretty permanant position, so he shouldnt have to move around a whole lot anymore."

The school year was moving by quickly. Before Chris and Bri knew it, it was almost time for the winter dance again. They both decided they did not want to go.
"Bad mojo is what Bri called it."
Chris, Bri, Jonathan and April stayed home and goofed off all night. Diane went over to Cyndi's house so the kids could have the run of the house.
"You kids please behave. I am not that far away. You never know when Cyndi and I might pop in."
"Yes ma'am," they all said in unison.
They played twister and truth or dare. Which they loved to pick dare. they had been friends for so long that they pretty much knew every truth there was...except for one that Chris and Bri had yet to tell their two best friends.
"My turn," April said. "Truth or dare?"
"Truth," Bri said as she looked at Chris.
"Have you and Chris ever had sex?"
Bri looked at Chris with hesitant eyes. He gave the okay look and smiled. They were among friends so she said, "Yes."
"We want details!"
"The only thing I will tell you is that it was the day after my dad died and it was one of the best times I have had."
Chris started to blush and he wrapped his arms around Bri and kissed her. "It was the best time we have both had, but it was the only time."
"Awwwwwww," was the only thing that April could get out.
Diane came back home at around 1am fully expected the children to still be awake. To her surprise they were all sound asleep. Chris and Briana were cuddled up on the couch. Jonathan and April were curled up together on a pallet in the floor. Diane quietly walked around and gathered blankets to cover them up. She went over to the couch and gently put a blanket on Chris and Bri. She bent down and kissed them both on the forehead. "Goodnight my babies."
She then went to Jonathan and April and gently put a blanket on them. She picked up some of the coke cans and popcorn that was left out and brought them to the kitchen. She then headed up the stairs and went to sleep.
That morning at around 9am, all four teens woke up to the sound of pots and pans in the kitchen. They each took turns going to the bathroom and brushing their teeth. One by one they made their way into the kitchen.
"Well good morning sleepy heads. Did we sleep well?"
"Uh huh," they all mumbled, still half asleep.
They ate breakfast and shortly after Jonathan and April made their way back home. Chris and Bri decided to stay in that day. It was Saturday. They wanted to have a lazy day with just each other. They headed up to Chris' room to watch some movies and cuddle. They had all next week to goof around with friends. Not to mention Thanksgiving would be coming up soon. They were both looking forward to stuffing themselves sensless. They were also looking forward to the fact that they would be spending Thanksgiving together. Their mothers had talked and decided that they would do Thanksgiving at Diane's house. Bri was especially excited. Her first real holiday with Chris. She couldnt wait.

Thanksgiving came in no time at all. There was food for days. Two turkeys, one deep fried, one cooked in the oven. Stuffing, mashed potatos, corn casarol, green bean casarol, sweet potatos, carrots, rolls, and anything else you can think of. Chris and Bri sat right next to each other. Diane and Cyndi sat on the other side. Each had their own conversations which then flooded to the other side of the table. It was the best Thanksgiving that Bri could remember having. Small and comfortable, with people that she loved. She knew the next day would bring a stomach ache from hell.

Sure enough, the next came and Bri was miserable. She called Chris first thing and asked him how he was feeling.
"I ate way too much Bri! Will you come over here and we can take care of each other?"
"Yeah, I will be there in a few minutes baby."
Before he knew it his baby was knocking at the door. He answered it and was greeted by a big hug and a kiss. They both went back upstairs and laid down in bed rubbing each others bellies.
A couple of hours later there was a light tap at the door. Diane came in and woke the two of them up.
"Come on guys, we need to get to the hospital. Something happened to Jonathan and April."
They both jumped out of bed and headed to the car. Cyndi was already there in the front seat. They climbed in and sped off to the hospital.
