The sun is just starting to rise when Briana walks out the door to head to her first day of high school in a brand new city. She moved in with her father and step-mother over the summer. She decided that she could not stay where she was any longer. Her biological mother did drugs and did unspeakable things to her. It took her 14 years to gather up the courage to ask her father if she could move in with him. Thankfully he and her step-mother agreed. Luckily for Briana, her step-mother was one in a million. She was more like her biological mother. Briana called her mom. She was the mother Briana had always wanted and needed. She moved from the small town of Frisco to Carrollton, Texas.
School would be starting at 7:45am. Briana was just leaving the house at 7:30am. Good thing for her was that she only lived about a block from the school. She was excited about starting her first day, but nervous because she was brand new. She did not know anyone here and did not know what to expect. She was eager to get the day started and at the same time eager to get the day done and over with. She arrived at school at 7:40 and went by the front office to get her new schedule and locker number. It was a top locker, "Thank God", she thought to herself. Briana is 5'10" tall. She has reddish-blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. Almost like looking into a deep blue ocean. She played softball and basketball, but only for fun. She didn't like to play on school teams, she is extremely shy and doesnt like all of the attention that comes with being on a high school team. She loved to draw and she was good at it. That was one of the first classes that she signed up for. Art. That was her first period of the day. Aside from getting used to all of the new people, she had to get used to an A-day, B-day schedule. Something she was not used to at all. Each class would be about an hour and thirty minutes long. "Yea", she thought sarcastically to herself. She arrived at her first class, Art, and got out the supplies that were needed. She looked around and the class was not very big at all. There was maybe about 25 students all together. She was in the Art 1 intermediate course. Not exactly beginning art, but not advanced art either. Her teacher was ver charasmatic. Very animated. Her name was Mrs. Foster and Briana took an instant liking to her. She knew that this was going to be one of her favorite classes. Little did she know that there was going to be more than one reason why.
As she scanned the class looking at her classmates she noticed this shy looking boy in the back. He as very quiet and kept to himself. She also noticed that he was extremely well-built. He probably worked out. He also had piercing blue eyes. She could see them from across the room when he did actually look up. He had a beautiful face. His features were very well defined. He had dirty blonde hair that was short and spiked. He had a deep focus to him that had Briana immediately drawn to him spiritually. It was the same focus that she herself possessed. He was very clean cut. He didnt have his pants hanging down past his ass. His shirt was very crisp and clean, not a wrinkle in sight. Jeans were fitted, yet loose at the same time. They widened as you got down to his feet. He wore black VAN shoes. This boy definately had her interest, but Briana being as shy as she was, was not about to just go up and introduce herself. While listening to Mrs. Foster give her opening speach about what the class would be doing throughout the year and what she expected from everyone, Briana swore she could feel this boy studying her just as much as she had studied him. She didnt want to look for fear that it might actually be true because she did not want him to see her turn red. The class was nearing its end and Mrs. Foster said, "Alright guys and gals, now its time to meet your fellow classmates. I want you all to get up and go talk to someone that you dont know. Find out something about them and in return tell them something about yourself." Briana got up very slowly, not knowing if she would have to approach someone or if someone would approach her. Before she could even look up to find someone she heard this deep sentuous voice say, "My name is Chris." Almost afraid, Briana looked up and it was the boy that she had seen in the back of the class. She stood up and he was taller than she. He had to be at least 6'2'' if not taller. She thought to herself, "God he is gorgeous! Okay, now would be a good time to say something." "Hi, my name is Briana." He held his hand out to shake hers. She put her hand in his expecting a very firm hand shake, instead he kissed her hand! She was speachless. "So tell me something about yourself Briana." Briana replied, "well, lets see, I just moved here from Frisco. I am extremely shy and I love to draw." Chris said, "hmmmm, okay, well I just moved her from Plano. I am also extremely shy and I love to paint." They both laughed at the same time. After that there was no shutting the two of them up. They sat down and started to talk about Plano and Frisco and why they had moved away. Instant friendship. The bell rang and Briana found herself not wanting to go. She wanted to talk more with Chris. He said, "maybe we will catch each other at lunch. When is your lunch; A, B, or C?" "B," Briana replied. "Awesome, so is mine, I will see you then!"
The B lunch bell finally rang and Briana found herself almost sprinting to the lunch room that she had seen on her way to second period. She looked around but did not see Chris. She had brought her lunch so she found a table near the back of the lunch room and took out her brown paper bag. Just then she felt as if someone were staring at her. She turned around and there was Chris. He sat down beside her and he also pulled out a brown paper bag.
"Wait, dont tell me we have the same lunch too!"
"I seriously doubt that you silly boy!"
Briana pulled out a ham sandwich with some cheetos. Chris pulled out a turkey sandwich with some cheetos.
"Damn, okay thats just strange. Its not exactly the same, but Briana, thats close enough!"
'Oh my God, you're right! This is just too weird."
They picked up the conversation from first period. They compared schedules and found that they shared 1st and 4th period on A days and 6th and 7th period on B days. Their lockers were also very close together.
Lunch was over and they headed off to finish 3rd period. When 4th period came around Briana waited in the hall for Chris to get there so they could sit together. What is it about this boy that has me so enthrawled with him. Aside from the similarities, I just cant stop thinking about him. He is just gorgeous. He has a perfect body. He is sweet and kind. At least so far he seems to be that way. Oh my goodness, here he comes. Oh my God his smile is absolutely to die for!
"Briana...Briana...hey country girl!"
"Oh, yeah, hey Chris, sorry I got lost in thought there for a second."
"What on earth were you day dreaming about?"
"Nothing," she lied. He has the cutest little half cocked grin.
School finally ended for the day and Briana and Chris said their goodbyes for the day. She gave Chris her cell number and he gave his to her. She got home and told her mom all about the school day and about the boy she met in 1st period. Her mom started to laugh and said, "Easy Briana, calm down, take a breath my dear. He sounds like a really nice boy. I am glad you made a friend."
"Thanks. I have homework already so I better get to it."
Chris sent her a text about an hour later. He said that he could not stop thinking about her. He could not wait until school tomorrow. She text him back and said that she was looking forward to tomorrow as well. She said that she could not keep him out of her mind. That she didnt really understand it. He replied back and said there really isnt anything to understand. We have a lot in common and we are both new to the school. Its only natural that we connected. She told him that she had to go, it was time for dinner and that she would see him tomorrow. He text back and said okay and goodnight.
A month passed and Briana and Chris were basically inseperable. They made friends with a couple of other people from their 1st period art class, but for the most part, if you were looking for Chris or Briana you almost always found them together.
"Briana?"
"Yeah?"
They were in the library studying for an upcoming test in History.
"Can I tell you something?"
"That all depends," she said with a coniving smile on her face.
"Im serious."
She looked at him and saw that he was dead serious. What does he want to tell me? Maybe he doesnt want to be friends anymore. What if he knows how I really feel about him and he doesnt want to be around me anymore? I didnt think I was that obvious. Okay, just relax Briana. Maybe its not that bad.
"Okay, what do you want to ask me?"
"Well...I...that is...Briana...I..."
"C'mon Chris spit it out!"
"I really like you and I want to be your boyfriend!"
Briana was in shock. She was absolutely speechless. She could tell that Chris was getting nervous because of her lack of speech. He started to ruffle his eyebrows not really knowing what to think. It wasnt until Briana started to smile that Chris finally relaxed.
"I know exactly how you feel Chris. I have been wanting to say something to you for the longest time, but could not find the courage. I like you alot too and I would love to be your girlfriend."
Chris smiled. It was almost like a fairtale in the making.
After school Briana and Chris went to the park to spend some time together and talk about their new found relationship. They found that there was really no talking to it. Chris gently pushed Briana up against a tree and leaned into her. Her heart was pounding ninety to nothing. Chris gently rubbed her check with his hand. His touch was so soft. He leaned his face into hers and gently kissed her. Their first kiss. It was slow and gentle. But that quickly turned into vigorous and needful. They parted, breathing very heavy.
"Chris, I dont want to move fast with us at all. I am not ready to..."
"I know baby, I'm not either. But you cant help a guy for wanting to kiss his girlfriend with everything he has, can you?"
"No, I love the way you kiss me."
"That was just our first kiss."
"And it was wonderful. I want to do it again."
They spent the next hour or so, kissing and talking and laughing. They both knew that they had found something rare. They were not about to ruin it by moving too fast like some other couples in high school do.
"Chris, honey, I have to head home. My parents will start to worry if I am not back soon."
"Alright," he said with an almost pouty look on his face.
"I will call you as soon as I get home."
"I cant wait. Talk to you soon Bri."
She smiled when she heard him call her Bri. She had never had anyone call her Bri before. She loved it. She kept her promise. The second she got home she called him.
"Hello...is this my sweet, beautiful Bri?"
"Yes it is. I just wanted to tell you that I made it home. I miss you Chris. I cant wait until tomorrow!"
"Good night my beautiful Bri. Sleep tight and I will see you tomorrow."
"Good night honey. See you tomorrow."
