After folding what seemed like 2,000 panties at work I went with the girls out of the lingerie  store into the empty mall. As we pulled the long security gate down, it hit the floor with a rattle and a echo. Walking, our high heals tapped the floor to our sexy young walk. 

It was 12:00 at night and we were ready to go home. I had been there since 12:00 in the morning and all I wanted to do was take a long hot bath, even though I knew I would probably be too tired and end up getting straight in to bed. As we walked Tammy my friend walked with me because we car pooled. “Oh my gosh, Adia I swear if I see another pair of underwear I am going to shoot myself”! Laughing I replied with a “Well then you better not take your pants off or you’ll be having a funeral sooner than you know”.

Laughing she screamed “ughhhhhhhhh”! Out of frustration and comedy. Tammy was 21 and so was I. We had met at work a little over a year a go and became great friends. Walking to my car We finally got down to the end of the empty parking lot almost reaching my jeep. Relief began to spread over us as we then walked in silence. 

Reaching my red four door jeep I unlocked it with a “beep, beep” As I walked over to get in Tammy was waiting. Driving home the sound of the wheels hitting the gravel and the purr of my engine was all that was heard in the late night air. As I got onto the freeway and took the short distance to Tammy’s exit I finally was off again turning into her neighborhood. Slowing down to a neighborhood speed Tammy got her things together, her bag of lingerie she had boughten on her break at work, a purse and her jacket. 

Pulling in to her drive way she looked over at me and said “See you Monday, unless you wanna hang, then give me a call ok”! Her voice rose to an enthusiastic high pitch, yet you could still hear the exhaustion in her voice. Yawning as she covered her open mouth with her manicured hand she opened the door causing the lights above to flash on, revealing her curvy yet still slender body, her brown collard shirt that flared on the bottom with a pink and brown pin striped slacks, her pink heals hitting the concrete as she slipped out. Smiling she said “Bye’ holding all of her things she nodded her head good bye and shut the door with her back causing it to shut with a snap! 

When i saw that she got inside ok I then drove off in reverse and then switching back into drive took off to the next street down where my house was. Pulling into my garage I opened it and shit it behind me. Afraid of the darkness outside I hated working late and having to walk outside alone. This garage method had really helped. Opening my door I smelled the gasoline and stuffy smell the inclosure produced. Shutting the door with another bang! I then walked into the house shutting the door beind me as the alarm made its long beeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Putting in my alarm code I then put it in once more setting it. Locking the door that lead to my garage I walked through my laundry room opening the door and turning on the light to my tidy small home. The fake plants and tan leather couches stood out making it’s freshness look decorated and clean. Just the way I liked it. 

As I went to make myself some tea I lit some candles and dimmed my lights. I was ready for bed and was right, my bath could wait until morning. Sitting down as my kettle boiled water I turned the t.v. on, the news blasted on. “TODAY A SERIAL KILLER STRIKES AGAIN” “His lure into the night may surprise you, next on news all night! “I thought to myself as I quickly turned the volume down and changed the channel to a comedy “what crap the news is, all it does is cause stress and anxiety.” The volume now low I tilted my head back and relaxed listening to the laughter in the background. The next thing I heard was a slight meow. Looking up at the television I looked to see if it was coming from the show, but it didn’t appear to be. I heard it again. “MEW” It sounded like a kitten outsid emy door step. I hurried and turned off my alarm. Turning my front porch light on I couldn’t see anythign but I heard it again now stronger “MEW”! I unlocked my door and stepped out whispering “here kitty kitty kitty!” 

As I crossed my arms from the night exposure I looked around seeing nothing. Until finally I heard a rustling sound coming from the bushes behind me, turning around was horrific. There stood a man holding a tape recorder, smiling at me as I was cornered from the closed in brick walk way her laughed and pushed play, as it played I then realized it was a recording of a kitten, and now here I was alone, cornered, and afraid.
