Looking at Dana with a confused look on my face she got up and took me into Kane’s bedroom locking the door. Sitting by me she spoke,

“Listen tonight you are going to be dropped off at a hotel, you will go to the second floor and got to room 34. Knocking 3 times pausing and then two more. He will let you in. Now, before you go in snort 3 or 4 lines it will loosen you up, its important to satisfy a paying customer. He might beat you up, that is rare though with Kane as our pimp”.

Looking at her again I was in disbelief. Did they really think I was going to do this, did they think I was going to have sex for money! I began shaking my head, telling her

“No I Im just going to go, I can’t do that, No!” “Please no!”

Waling up to me Dana slapped me across the face, harder than I could ever expect from her.

“Look, you leave you have no food, no shelter, and no protection. Do you really want to risk it alone in New York”? 

Silence took over the room

“I didn’t think so, now come here, these are your clothes.”

Pulling out of the Sensations bag, she held up a tube top belly shirt, that was pink, she told me to put it on shoving a padded strapless bra first. Then she had me put on a black leather skirt and high pink boots that went all the way up to my thigh. Taking me to the bathroom she put my hair up in a high ponytail with a pink bow and sat me down on the toilet with a push. Sitting there I wondered why I was letting her push me around.

I guess I was scared, I guess I didn’t want to be alone and I knew I couldn’t go home. EVER! So I sat there as she did my make up. When everything was done I looked at myself in the mirror. The fabric of the clothes felt dirty, like they were made for this type of work, like they were made to humiliate the last bit of confidence I had left. 

Leaving me she called Kane in as she told him 

“Be gentle!  No marks”!

Kane walked up to me as I began to cry a little, he pushed me up against the wall, pushing me down to my knees, he back handed me.. it hurt and scared me as he yelled

“You gunna keep crying, bitch!”!

“HUH”

“NO! IM SORRY! IM SORRY!”

Hitting me once more this time right below my navel, then he flicked my belly button ring making it sting.

“Are you really sorry”!?

huh! huh!

now screaming almost moaning in pain..

“Im so sorry, I promise Ill stop please!”

I was at his shoulders holding him trying to coax him to forgive me by using physical affection. it worked!

“Good, see I don’t like doing this to you but this man is a very respectable client. and he wants you becaus eyour young. 

The next thing I knew I was being pushed in to the bath tub.

“Are you gunna fuck this up! are ya! cuz ill put your ass back on the street! Ill do it! without me your nothing, youll be lost! and alone!”

“No! Ill be good I promise Ill be my best, Ill do everything you taught me KANE! Please trust me!”

“Then stop crying”!

“Ok Ive stopped see! Ive stopped Im gunna be good I swear!”

He then came up and kissed me ont he forehead leading me to the door. He whispered

“Im hard on you because I love you, you know that right”?

I was too scared to disagree 

“I know, I I love you too”.

Almost flinching expecting himt o hit me from my pause in words, but he didn’t. I was glad I had done something right!

He put me in a car with him and Dana was in the front seat. I took my bag out and looked around, finding an old phonebook I laid the powder on it, taking out a blade from the bag  I lined 4 rows up. Inhaling the powder through the bank note. The numbness and tingling was deeper now, faster and more intense. It came faster and now my whole mouth was numb. The drip in my throat made me want to burp again but I didn’t. I felt my body start to relax and release. As the car stopped Dana got me out of the car taking me to the elevator. She went over my directions again.

The elevator door opened as I stepped out, I was alone now. Walking down the long hall way I came to the door number I was assigned. Stopping I took a deep breath ready to do my best. I was nervous, but I had to do this and I felt great! I knew I could do anything!

I took one last deep breath and began my knock on the door that was between me and my first job.
