CHAPTER ONE

 

"Come on, you'll do fine!" Tim said, kissing me on the chick lightly.

He was always so supportive of my abilites in school...to bad i wasn't. I could feel the chunks rise up in my throat.

"I hate math! Why do we have to do exams anyway?"  i whined, kicking the stones that littered my path to the classroom.

"I dunno...some stupid rule. Relax, in the scheme of things, it doesn't really matter. Its just an exam."

It was easy for Tim to say...he was a math genius.

My talents were subdued to music and drawing. And unfortunatley, the school curiculum doesn't find these subjects 'assets' for a good education.

So I am stuck doing meaningless exams.

"You'll do fine," Tim concluded once again, pushing me lightly intot he class room. 

It was dead quiet as i sat down and turned over the test paper.

It is never a good sign when you look at the first question, and have no clue what they are talking about.

"Great," I whispered to myself. I was then instantly shushed by the teacher and threatened with detention if i spoke agaion, even to myself.

I never really thought this exam would matter deep inside...i guess i was wrong. I should have studied....then the thing would have never happened.....
