Greek Stragaty chapter 4
|
“This is bad. I don’t know if it were Hades or Kronos. Kronos has been trying to kill any and all half-bloods to keep them from helping the Gods and Goddesses out. But we can’t be to sure till someone talks to Hades or Kronos.” Charley says.
“But Kronos is dead so no one can talk to him but the King of the Dead. Which was the half-blood turned into Pine Tree.”
“Maybe not young one.” A voice replies behind the group.
Everyone turned around to see a ghost. Spencer jumped up.
“Oh No. A ghost sent to kill kronos’s children.” Spencer yelped.
“No he didn’t. I am the King of the Dead. Here For Crystal.” The ghost replied.
“What? Why me? Who sent you?” Crystal cried.
“Hades sent me. He needs to talk to you. You are the only daughter of the Big Three” The ghost replied.
“Ok. This is getting weird.” Crystal put in.
“If she goes, us three go with her.” Carroll demanded.
“Fine. I think Hades will like that.” The ghost smiled evilly.
“Good. Let us pack. How many days will we be gone.” Forrest asks.
“Only a couple of hours. Don’t worry you will be back by dinner.” The ghost replied, “Charley, it is ok that I take them off your hands for a little bit?”
“No problem. I couldn’t argue even if I wanted to. Hades is God and you don’t argue with Gods or Goddesses.” Charley answers.
“But one thing. Spencer , you have to stay here. He only wants half-bloods.” The ghost ordered.
“Good. I wanted to stay here anyways.” Spencer put in.
“Bye everyone. Carroll called out as she walked down the paved road.
People replied back but some took a look at the ghost and didn’t say a word.
After they got the tree that kept the monsters out, the ghost plucked a leaf.
“Hey!” Carroll snapped, “Don’t go picking off the leaves of that tree. Katherine will get angry.”
“What can she do? She’s a tree.” The ghost replied.
“True.” Forrest answered.
“Now I can dispose of you two and keep her.” The ghost laughed. He snapped his fingers and a giant bubble engulfed Forrest and Carroll and a leash appeared around Crystal’s neck.
“What?” Carroll questioned.
“Kronos can use you two after he uses her.” The ghost said as he yanked on the leash.
“Owwwww. What was that for?” Crystal yelped in pain.
“You need to learn that you do what I say. And this leaf, Kronos can use the leaf for unspeakable evil.” The ghost said.
“Where will we go?” Forrest asked.
“In a storage unit. Ma-ha-ha-ha” the ghost laughed.
“You’ll never get away with this. You know that right?” Carroll yelled as the bubble disappeared.
“On the contrary, I will.” The ghost laughed even harder.
While he was laughing, Crystal found away to slip the leash off from around her neck. She darted back toward the camp but she wasn’t fast enough, for the ghost was hot on her trail.
“HELP, HELP, HELP!” exclaimed Crystal.
Suddenly an arrow hit the ground where the ghost’s foot should have been. The ghost suddenly muttered under his breathe.
“Darn the half blood that messed with me. He shall be cursed forever. Crystal, come.” He barked as he stepped closer to her.
“Back away,” yelled the heroic guy that had shot the arrow, “or be prepared for a ghost arrow.”
Just as sudden as the ghost had arrived, he disappeared without a word
