A moment later the earth was under my feet again with a great decrease in wind.
As soon as I had gained my feet back I looked around to discover where Landon had taken us.
The land was seemingly bare except for a single structure off to the side. I immediately recognized it as the old abandoned run-down barn that I had found Landon in after he had become a vampire.
“Why are we here?” I asked.
“It’s the only place I could think of to go where there weren’t people.” Landon explained.
“What, don’t want to include me?” A woman’s voice from inside the building mocked.
            Landon and I quickly spun to face the noise.
“Unless vampires aren’t people.” She continued, stepping out of the building and standing as a shadow in the doorway, her wings outlined by the faint light of the moon. Even though I couldn’t see her completely, I knew it was Tiassale by her outline and her voice.
Landon wrapped his arm around me in protection.
“What do you want?” Landon scowled.
She stepped out into the moonlit night. “You stole my bait.” She deflected the conversation. “So now you have to pay.” She was talking to Landon, but her evil gaze was placed on me.
Landon quickly shifted himself so he was standing in front of me. Just like last time we had been in the threat of her only this time I wasn’t sprawled on the floor.
“You won’t touch her.” Landon declared.
“Oh no, I’d never think of doing such a thing!” She said sarcastically, putting her hand on her chest dramatically. “Such a beautiful little creature I could never hurt her.” Her eyes narrowed.
“You’re disgusting.” He spat.
“Why thank you.” She bowed.
“So did you only come here to piss me off or was there a point?” Landon growled.
“Oh there was definitely a point.” She took a few steps closer.
“What? You can’t do anything to me.” Landon pointed out.
She chuckled. “Got me there, but I can do something to her.”
Then before Landon could even blink she leapt into the air, landed softly behind me and wrapping her hands around my waste as she flung us up into the air once more.
“Landon!” I cried, seeing him leap into the air after us.
Just then Tiassale stopped, and I fearfully looked down to see that we were too high to even see the ground. All I could see was the dark fog of the clouds. After just a few breaths I realized the air was thinner up here too, and I had to breathe a lot faster to obtain all the oxygen I needed.
Landon quickly reached us, his beautiful bat wings flapping to keep him in position. He made a quick movement like he was going to come at us and pull me out of her arms but before he could barely move an inch Tiassale had a long red sword pointed at him. He stopped, looking warily at the sword.
“Don’t move.” Tiassale ordered, and Landon obeyed. “You may be stronger, but I am faster. If you come any closer I will not only slice your head off, but I will also let Miss Princess here fall to her death.”
I was starting to feel slightly lightheaded.
“Now,” She continued when Landon didn’t respond. “You will promise me that you will follow every order I give you or else she dies. And vampire promises can’t be broken.” Tiassale bargained. Landon looked fearful, there was no way out. Either do what she says or let me die. I could see the horror on his face. 
            I was starting to get a bit dizzy, and had to focus to stay awake. I could feel unconsciousness pulling at me. I needed air.
            Landon was looking at me, knowing if he didn’t make a decision soon I would suffocate.
            “Okay fine, I’ll do what you ask.” Landon caved.
            “You have to promise.” Tiassale ordered.
            “I promise.” He finalized, and I could hear the grin in her voice as she responded.
            “Good, then go get her.”
            And then I was falling though the air, darkness engulfing me as the world slowly faded away.
I know it is quite short but I’m basically just seeing who all is still reading. But yeah, I am terribly sorry for the long delay, life hasn’t been very good. You don’t wanna hear about that though, so let’s just see about this story. How about 20 votes to continue?
