Except Bianca's problems with it, I moved in with Isabelle with no hassles. My parents were happy with the arrangements, mum had inspected the house and interrogated Isabelle's poor mother before letting me move in. It was sad to see them go, after coming to appreciate them for the first time in quite a while, but they had promised to call and visit when they could. I was grateful for it.

Isabelle's mother's name was Tracey, she was short and had blonde, curly hair. She seemed almost as excited as Isabelle with my moving in. I arrived with all my bags one afternoon and she spent a good hour just showing me around the house and making sure I was confident enough to treat it as my own home. I assured her I was, though it'd be a while until I felt completely at home here.

I moved in on a Friday afternoon, when Isabelle got home from school. I still hadn't gone since the accident, Monday was going to be my first day back, when I was settled in. I'd been catching up on a lot of work though, I had plenty of spare time when all my friends were at school. On the Saturday, I decided to go around and visit Bianca to make sure everything was ok.

She was surprised by my visit, but excited.

"Xen!! How're you feeling, I'm so happy that you're up and visiting!!!' she squealed as she wrapped herself around me before I could even make it inside.

"I'm glad you're glad!" I replied, "And I'm good... really, I feel fine!" I assured her, flexing my fingers at her face so that she could see for herself. I was fine as well, the pain had all but gone, sometimes when I got into an uncomfortable position I'd feel sharp pains, but that was the extent of my physical pain. Emotionally, I was still unstable. I missed Derreck, naturally, but moving out of our house was hard. I felt as though I was leaving him behind, in a weird way.

I stayed at Bianca's for most of the day, we talked, mostly. Jake was out, at Mike's I assumed and her parents were at work. I could tell she wanted to make the most of our time alone. But I wasn't sure. I hadn't done anything sexual, at all, since the accident. That part of me was last to respond, the doctors had said it would only be a matter of time. But how long would that be?

She pushed herself against me, forcing her lips against mine, all the while letting her hands slip down towards my jeans. I wanted to break away, but I also wanted to see if this would help. The only sexual motivation I'd had thus far was myself, maybe being with Bianca would stop the impotence.

It was getting pretty heated, and any other time I'd have been revving to go. But I still felt nothing, I pulled away and looked down.

"I can't," I said, still staring at the mattress.

"What do you mean?" she teased, running her hands all over my bare chest. "We're home alone, everything is perfect."

"It's not that," I told her, "It's me... the accident kinda messed me up a bit, I'm still working some things out, it'll only be a matter of time." I continued, assuring myself more than her. I had pinned all my hope on this encounter to work.

She looked confused, but her hands found their way to my pants.

"Oh." she whispered, looking embarrassed. "How long did the doctors say?"

"Not sure, it varies." I told her, repeating what the doctors had told me when I first realized I was having problems. "Every other part of me has recovered well, so it shouldn't be too long."

"Ofcourse," she said looking very disappointed. I felt horrible, but I couldn't help it. I'd thought about this a lot, if she was going to have a problem with it, I wouldn't beat myself up about it.

I laid back down on her bed. She looked away, over to her alarm clock. "Shit! Look at the time Xen, you better get going, mum and dad will be home soon."

I could tell she just wanted to be alone right now, but I played along. "They never did like half naked guys in your bed." I teased. Forcing a smile.

"They ruin all my fun," she answered, smiling as well. She kissed me on the lips and I left.

I walked back to Isabelle's house. It was close, plus I didn't have a car anymore. My parents had promised to buy me another, cheaper one. Though I didn't know when. I turned into Isabelle's street, about to walk across her neighbours driveway when a car zoomed across my path, into the drive. It was familiar, I'd seen it around.

The car stopped at the end of the drive and out she jumped.

"Xen! So sorry! Didn't see you there, I bet that was the last thing you needed." she yelled, rushing over to me to check that I was ok.

"I'm fine, don't worry. Do you um.. live here?" I asked.

"Yes, this is my place, I heard you were moving in with Isabelle, Tracey and I are good friends." she explained.

"Wow, I might see you around then" I said as a big grin broke out across my face.

"Without a doubt, see you around neighbour!"
