Reopened Scars chapter 8-LEAVING EARLY?!?

Leaving early

“hello?…..Aunt Selene?…..yes ma’am it’s Juliana…..you are home early…..how is Raphael?….that is good….they are going to phoenix……I’m living with my boyfriend…..Gerard Way….I know, I didn’t know you knew who they were…..oh well I’ll pass along the message…..I’ve already been asked to go on tour…..no I can’t go….they leave in January…..I know….WHAT!!!!…..NO I CAN’T LEAVE EARLY!! I JUST MOVED IN!!!!! AUNT SELENE!” she looks at the phone it read CALL ENDED. She punches the wall.

“what’s wrong Ti?”

“my aunt. Selene is making me leave early.”

“how early is early?”

“like 1 week early. And I can’t exactly run and hide from her. She’ll send Fang and Jackal to pick me up every year. Strongest and fastest in the pack so I can’t run from them. She started sending them after the last incident.”

“what happened last time?”

“well let’s just say that not even the cops could quite hold on to me. And I‘m not allowed back in Ohio.”

“wow you really hate going don’t you?”

“well yeah after about your second year of getting the shit beat out of you by some guy big enough to stop an eighteen wheeler you get a little tired of it.”

“wow.”

“yeah. You’re telling me.”

Gerard’s cell goes off. He picks it up. Apparently the guys are on their way over.

“the boys are on their way up. They want to talk to us.”

“okay I’ll get dressed and make us some food.”

“yeah some food sounds really good right now.”

“okay.”

Well Timber is in the kitchen busy cooking some hamburgers when the boys show up. They walk in and begin to hover around her. She growls. Ray and Frank laugh.

“what’s so funny?”

“nothing you just confirmed it.”

“what?”

“you are in fact one of us. A wolf I mean.”

“yeah I’m the alpha female in my pack. And their princess.”

“well your majesty why don’t you let me finish I wouldn’t want you to break a nail or a sweat.” bob says

Timber punches him

“DAMN! THAT ACTUALLY HURT!”

“well when I said I trained hard I wasn’t lying.”

“so you actually fight?” ray asks

“yeah I’m forced into those stupid underground fights. Selene thinks that I get a lot of respect and experience that way. I win always of course because I’m so much stronger than the other fighters.”

“how many bones have you broken?” Mikey asks with interest

“oh well lets just say training wouldn’t be complete with out everything twice.”

“wow. That sucks.”

“yeah.”

“how do you handle the pain?” Frank asks

“what pain? All I feel is slight discomfort. And these are major fractures.”

“dayum.” Gerard says

“I’d like to go to one of your fights one day.” Mikey says

“that won’t happen.”

“why not?”

“Selene makes sure that no one I know is even remotely close to me. She says knowing someone will distract me. I think it’s all bullshit.”

“well if I decide to get back into fighting again she can’t say anything.” Mikey adds

“you fight?”

“hell yeah.”

“what?!” Gerard says

“well I used to. I quit after this one fight…it was in October about 3 maybe 4 years ago…I was up against this one wolf…she was beautiful…she used it to distract her opponents…well I got so wrapped up in the fight I lost my control…went for the throat…her blood poured into my mouth…I couldn’t stop…I almost killed her…after that I never fought again.”

“well I’ve nearly killed several people but no matter how much I protest Selene forces me to fight. She says oh when you take full control of the pack you will be faced with tougher situations than this.”

Just then there is a knock at the door. Gerard gets up to answer it. He goes to the door and there he I greeted by two extremely large men who look to be in their mid twenties. He lets out a growl.

“baby who is it?” timber says as she walks over to his side.

“hello princess. You ready?” one of the men ask

“Fang…what are you doing here? I mean I’ve talked to Selene and she said that she wasn’t send you two for at least another week.”

“well something came up and she said to tell you that it’s family business and we have to leave now.” the other one says

“well I’m busy the guys are throwing me a going away party. I guess you could call it that.”

“well I’m sorry. We have to leave now.” Fang says

“well I’m sorry you wasted your time I’m not leaving for at least another week.”

“Juliana…please let’s not fight right now.” Jackal says

“the name is Timber and it would do you some good if you remembered it.” she spits

“just get your shit and let’s go.” Fang says

“no.”

“gentlemen there has to be some way to postpone her arrival until another week.”

“mutt. This is of no concern for yours.” jackal spits

Timber throws a punch. You can hear jackal’s jaw crack. Gerard pulls her back. And fang just growls.

“well all I can say is that she has gotten stronger.” jackal says holding his jaw.

“get out of here now.”

“no, sorry guys timber has a meeting to call.” fang says as he grabs timber by the elbow.

“get your damn paws off of me!”

“come on.”

“I hate you.”

“we know you tell us the same thing every year.”

“I thought it would have sunken in by now.”

“Gerald, Selene wishes you luck on your tour and advises you not to butt in timber’s training. This year it is more important than the others. I’m sure you would understand.”

He growls Mikey and the rest jump up and hold him back.

“dude. No dude. You don’t want to start a pack war.” rays says.

As timber is being dragged to the car tears run down her face. Gerard’s heart shatters into a million pieces. How could they break such an angel like that and not care.

“I love you so much.” Timber mouths to Gerald

“I love you too. Don’t worry I’ll find a way.” mouths.
