Aunt Tess.

“good morning.” Timber says to Gerard.

“it is as long as you’re here.”

She tries to get up but he just holds her there.

“no. stay.”

“I have to call my aunt. I need to find out when my flight is as much as I don’t want to, I have to go.”

“no you don’t, you are going to live in my apartment with me.”

“you mean you don’t live here?”

“no this is Frank’s, and Bob’s place we all just have beds here.”

“so do Mikey and Ray live with you?”

“no they live a few blocks away from here.”

“so you live alone?”

“yeah but not for long.”

“I don’t know if my dad will let me. And my aunt is dying I’m sure to see me.”

“well then, I’ll have to fix this.”

“what are you doing?”

“what does it look like? I’m calling your aunt.”

“no. please let me.”

“okay.”

She dials her aunts number.

“hey aunt Tess?… Hey it’s me Timber…Timber?… you know Juliana?…yeah aunt Tess…oh yeah…. I’m so looking forward to eating your gumbo…well aunt Tess I’m actually calling to tell you that I’m actually staying with a friend…yeah I don’t want to have to drop out again…I know…yes ma’am…just a few blocks away from the school…no, their parents don’t mind….I’m calling them right after I get off the phone with you…alright love you too.” she sighs deeply.

“gumbo?”

“yeah its really good has chicken, sausage, rice, and other stuff it’s a Louisiana specialty. Kind of like a hearty soup.”

“hmm.”

“now to convince my father…….”
