Summer School Chapter 13

The crowd easily parted for me, leaving a wide birth to stay out of way of my hands. Go figure.

Wait....yeah, I did use them to punch him, slap him and I used my tongue to snap at him. I also used my lips in that encounter, but I didn't wish to relive the details of that horrible, horrible thing.

One guy wouldn't move out of my way and he and his friends surrounded me. "Got quite a whiplash, don'tcha honey?" One slurred and I automatically knew that they were drunk. Drunk in summer school. Yay, I get all the comforts of home at school now!

"Yeah, you wanna find out what my fist feels like when it goes flying?" I asked, my voice sharp and clearly ringing out.

Many turned to watch and someone even whistled in appreciation. Fuck. I didn't need to draw a crowd, as I needed to get home. Obviously, that wasn't happening anytime soon.

One raised his hands in mock surrender and took a step back before taking three forwards. Fine, he wanted to be a bastard, he would be treated like one.

Another stepped forwards and touched my cheek with his hand, and I bit his finger, which earned a slap. A loud, single sound slap. My brown eyes narrowed and I would've punched him....

Yeah, so I don't always use my best judgement. Big deal. I knew that I couldn't take on all three of them, but I sure as Hell could try. And I would lose and go home with another round of bruises, curses and cry myself to sleep again.

I couldn't be the 'strong girl' forever. I would have a breakdown sooner or later and I didn't want anyone around when I did. I knew that something small would probably cause it, or maybe something big. I really didn't know. But I did know that sooner or later, a breakdown was going to happen. And I would remember it for the rest of my life...

I was going to punch him and would've also, when a voice said behind me. "So, you got yourself into another fight, Ms. Cel." I knew that voice, I really did.
