Chapter 2 The escape “How could you take advantage of a poor old lady who is so frail that if you twist her arm it would probably fall off?! If you wanted to fight me you should’ve asked me instead! I would’ve gladly of fought you, you monster! She was my moth- grandmother and you shall pay for that!” her victim, who had never experienced her wrath of anger was now suddenly very afraid of his “victim”, Konya could tell because of the looks crossing his face at the same time. There was anger, crushed, petrified, confused, and sadness cross the creature of the dark’s face at the same time. Konya thought of all of the things that made her mad, and the creature of the dark was backing away before his “victim” could fall victim, and the victim would be the creature of the dark. “Don’t you see the things that you haven’t seen yet!? For I’m the great one that you are scared of now, and not the other way around?!” with those last word out of her mouth, Konya let go of all the anger towards everyone towards one thing; the creature in the dark. For those words that she had been saying under her breath and saying those words out loud were two different things, entirely. The next thing that she knew she was flat on her back with a surge of power still on her finger tips. With careful grace, she sat up, and what she saw shocked her more than anything else on earth. The things that she saw were the whole back part if the house was completely gone, along with the creature of the dark. Wow I haven’t had surge of power in… never before have I had a surge of power that big before. That even surprised me more than you. Which is hard to do, I enjoy your company and you may join me in your quest.Who are you?! If you are friend show yourself, and if not you had better run with your tail between your legs like a dog! Who are you and how did you get in my head?!And I am not afraid of you. Now, come, join me for our fates are entwined in one others. While I will not betray you, you can’t trust me if I act well nor bad. For I'm a troll on a mission, I won’t tell you more until later. How do I know that I can trust you?! How do I know that you won’t kill me first?! You have to tell me something first! You will have to trust me, and if you choose not, to I will gladly leave you for it to have you. For I know that it is using a see-through spell of the most powerful kind. For not even the world’s greatest wizard can deceive that spell, Konya. So you will have to trust me, unless you have a death wish. Ha-ha-ha-ha! Now do you trust me?Yes, I have got it. And I will trust you, for there is truth in your words. But I shall give you a warning, if you get in my way, you shall die, a slow, painful death before my very eyes, got it? Good. Yes I do, but I have a warning, too. More of a riddle, listen; Yes, I do, stay out of my way And we’ll be okay Get in my way, ay Ill eat you whole And you’ll wish you never trusted a green old troll Do you get that, Konya For I was not afraid to eat my old wife TonyaNow you have received my riddle/warning, and I do believe that you get the meaning. Now, climb up on my shoulders and we’ll be off. My riddle is not very complicated, but it makes no sense. Oh yes, my name is Ya Giadf and you can call me that until you solve the riddle, okay?Yes, I have gotten your riddle/warning. When I get the answer, I will tell you, with those last words out Konya stepped off of the end of the house and took a good look at the monster that had her. The monster had a giant pimple on his nose and was very hairy and green. He also had a big, round head, and body. He was about eight feet tall and had ragged, torn, grey clothing. He was barefoot and had a habit of talking to himself. He would also put on a weird smile and a goofy one at the same time and would walk around in circles. Now that she was away and had recognized her power she felt safe to lie down and take a rest for a few minutes. What is that giant baboon doing? I think that we have been going in circles lately. I hope that he isn’t because that would draw suspicion from me like mosquitoes to blood. If he is trying to confuse me, it isn’t working yet. I just hope that I was right in trusting him. She thought with bitter running through her words like taste running through chocolate. The next thing that she knew of, she was in a prison cell that was magic proof. Konya cursed out loud, and recognizing that she heard voices down the hall quickly shut up. In a few moments time she had seen and heard two troll guards go by. Walking alongside of the trolls was the Creature in the Dark. What are they going to do with me? Man, I should’ve never have trusted Ya Giadf! Grandma always told me never to trust a troll... grandma! Where is she? Oh no, this is my entire fault! Knowing the creature in the dark, she probably wouldn’t come out alive, or would she?
