     There, in front of them was a guy throwing a woman down to the floor, blood flowing from her neck. Shivers was sent up Valerie's spine as the guy turned around to see who was here. He looked just like Brandon...hazel eyes...short, dark brown hair...but there was blood trickling from his mouth, making a stain on his shirt. 

     "Hello, you're Brandon's little friend, right? I've been expecting you, Valerie...you're a pretty little girl aren't you?" He said inching closer to a shocked and paralyzed Valerie. Brandon couldn't move either. He grinned wickedly when he noticed Valerie staring at the blood stain. "Oh, I'm sorry. How foolish of me not to clean up. I was just a bit hungery, that's all...too bad Mother was in the way..." He said slyly. 

     "H-h-how d-do y-y-you kn-know m-my n-name?" Valerie studdered. She never met him before. And what did he do to get that blood stain?

     "I know lots of things, Valerie. Like how you just hate your parents, you have only one best friend, Danielle is her name, correct? Oh, and now, you think this was the worst mistake of your life..." Then he turned to Brandon. "So, you think you could hide her from me, dear brother?"

     Brandon was furious. "Why don't you just disappear from my life and die somewhere!!! Dammit, Alex!!! What did you do?!" He ignored his question and studied Valerie for a moment or so, smelling her scent. "Don't even think about it!!", Brandon said, fully enraged now.

     "Don't think about what, Brandon? You don't want me to kill her? Is that it? No, I won't do that.....right now." He smiled an evil grin at her, then winked. "It's okay, I won't make it hurt." He laughed.

     Then in a instant, Brandon jumped on Alex, making him get distracted. "Run Valerie!!!", he yelled. Valerie couldn't move. "RUN!!!", he cried. It took effort to even to twitch. "God dammit!!!", he growled as he kicked her foot, still struggling with Alex trying to break free of his grip. For some reason, she could move again. Instead of thinking about it, she ran out of the entryway into the driveway and beyond. She ran with all that she has in her.

      Exhaused, she stopped after running a mile or two. She fell to the ground by a lonly dirt road and put her head against a tree. Ohmigod...what is he? A vampire? That has to explain the 'rare condition' and danger that Brandon was talking about..., she thought. Then it hit her, BRANDON!!! What if he didn't make it? Would he be alright? Why didn't I just listen? She felt so guilty.....what if she'll never see Brandon again?
