Back at Ben’s cabin Kaitlyn found herself asking a lot of questions. ”Well, I think that’s enough about me, why don’t you tell me a little about you?” Ben asked her. “There’s not much to say. I’m just an average girl in an average world with an average family and semi-average friends.” She lied. Her life wasn’t average at all but she didn’t know if she should tell him everything. She decided not to and just to continue unpacking.

Picking up a picture of him hugging a beautiful girl from the box, her hopes were crushed. Trying to hold back tears she said” Is this your girlfriend? ? She’s pretty.” “No, that’s my sister. She gave it to me before she moved out. To tell you the truth, I don’t have a girlfriend.” With those words all of Kaitlyn’s hope returned and knew that now she had a chance with him. “So did your boyfriend give you that necklace?” he asked her. Kaitlyn felt her neck and realized that she was wearing her heat shaped pendant, that Jake gave her before they broke up.

“Actually he did,” she saw his face sadden so she quickly continued, “but we broke up.” His face lit up again. Ben looked at his watch. It was eight fifty-five which meant they only had 5 minutes until the next activity. “So what activity is next? I didn’t have time to look at my schedule yet.” he asked. “Uumm, swimming I think.” “Oh, ok well I guess I’ll see you there. I just gotta put my stuff away.” “Okay, see you there” she said while walking out of his cabin.

At the lake Kaitlyn met up with her friends. “Hey guys” she said while walking towards them. “Oh, hey. Did you have fun with Ben?” Michelle asked. “What? I wasn’t with Ben. I was back at the cabin.” Kaitlyn tried to lie. ”Come on Kaity, we saw you walk towards the boys cabins. Just tell us what happened already!” Candis almost yelled at her. “Ok! I just helped him unpack and we talked, that’s all. Now let’s go get changed, it’s so hot out, I can hardly wait to get in the water!”

The girls got changed into their bikinis and jumped into the lake. After a while Kaitlyn found herself looking for Ben again. After 10 minutes she finally gave up and talked to her friends about what she missed in lunch. A few minutes later Ben entered the water. Kaitlyn’s back was towards him as he snuck up behind her. He raised his hands to her sides and tickled her. Giggling, she turned around to see Ben. “Finally you got here! Its been like a half an hour already!” she was going to continue and ask why he took so long but she was too busy staring at his body.

“Yeah sorry about that. My parents called me and kept blabbing on about how to be careful and how much they love me…all that crap.” Ben too was now staring at Kaitlyn’s body. They both snapped out of it when Kevin screamed “Cowabunga!!” while doing a cannonball off the deck. Everyone laughed at his pathetic attempt and some started showing off their moves.

“Hey, do you wanna go for a walk? You know, to get away from all this noise and splashing?” Ben asked. “I don’t know, we still have 20 minutes left before swimming over and you weren’t even here for half of it.” “Oh come on, no one will no we’re gone, we’ll just take a walk somewhere, there’s a trail behind the guys cabins, it only takes about 5 minutes to get through it. Come on.” ”Ok, lets go.” She said finally giving in to him, of course, you cant really say no to a guy like Ben can you?

Kaitlyn go out of the pool and slipped her flip-flops on, then followed Ben towards the boys cabins. They didn’t really talk on the way there, just looked around and enjoyed the nature. When they finally got to the trail, they started on their little journey through the woods. “Ow!” Kaitlyn said as she stopped walking. “What’s wrong?” He asked then turned around to see Kaitlyn untangling her hair from a tree branch. He was about to laugh but stopped himself because he didn’t want to be rude.

After one look at Ben, Kaitlyn started laughing and Ben soon joined in. ”Only I would get me hair caught in a tree.” “Well I don’t know if that’s true but I don’t take too many girls for a walk in the words so I wouldn’t really know now would I?” She giggled and they continued walking.
