Vampire Testing 4

I sat and stared out in space. I could only think over and over, "I let him kiss me and I have to marry him." I just couldn't believe my luck. James was staring at me unsure of what to do. It seemed like minutes but it was actually hours later when Sean came back. I was still on the ground staring out in space and when he first came in he just stared at me. "What's wrong with you?" he asked. I came out of my daze and stared at him. I couldn't think straight and all I could do was stare at him. He cocked an eyebrow at me then looked at James, "Has she been like this since I left?" James looked away from me from the first time. "Yes. I think something's mentally wrong with her. I tried to talk to her but she didn't even hear me." James replied. He looked shocked and a little scared as he looked back at me. I had gone back to staring out in space. Sean looked back at me, obviously worried. He came up to me and pulled me up and leaned me against the wall. He looked into my eyes trying to find what was wrong. As he stared into my eyes the shock started to wear off and I started coming back from space. When it finally wore off I screamed because seemingly out of nowhere Sean's face appeared in front of me. It scared the hell out of him and he jumped back. After a couple of seconds I stopped screaming. Sean got mad at having been scared by me and yelled, "What the hell is wrong with you? What kind of drugs did they put you on? You're a nutcase!" I stared at him for a minute before saying, "I don't know what's wrong with me. They didn't put me on any drugs as far as I know. And thanks for your confidence in my mental state." Then I turned away and got back into the bed and pulled the covers over my head as hot tears made their way down my face. James was suddenly sitting on the end of the bed and he said, "Oh no, don't start this. Not now." "What do you mean? What's going on?" Sean aasked completely confused. "When she gets really upset she does whatever she can to get away from everyone and won't talk or drink blood until we can calm her down again." James said. "So? What's the big deal?" Sean asked. "Vampires need to drink blood to live. Every day that passes that a vampire goes without blood the closer to death they become. And she doesn't trust me anymore so I doubt I can calm her down again. She has no control over it either. It's a mental selfdefense thing she has." James explained. Sean came and sat on the other side of the bed. He pulled the blankets down and looked into my face. my eyes were open but unseeing as tears poured out of them. Sean told James to go that he'd try to calm me down. As James left Sean leaned over me and put his face in front of mine. He stared into my eyes as if making sure I wasn't doing it on purpose. Then he bent closer and kissed me. But it was different this time. Not cold, cruel, and demanding but instead it was warm, gentle, and caring. When he broke away. I sighed and my eyes fluttered for a minute before shutting and I was instantly asleep. Sean went out and found James in the courtyard next to the huge statue of a wolf. "What happened?" James asked as soon as he saw Sean coming. Sean looked at him and decided he didn't want anyone to know just what he'd done so instead he carefully answered, "She's asleep now." James looked at him with something akin to amazement. "How'd you do it?" he asked. Sean smirked at him, "I guess I have the magic touch." James stared at him, "You know how it was foretold that you'd find the love of your life if you saved the vampire princess? Well I think that the vampire princess will actually be the love of your life." Sean stared at him for several minutes before saying, "I think you're crazy. Not to mention that you should shut up. She's not to know that she is the orphaned princess of the vampires. I told her she'd be Queen of the Damned one day but she's not to know why just yet. And I highly doubt she'll ever be the love of my life." But as he walked away he thought, "I only wish that she could be the one."
