Kay stood there in the hospital room.White walls,beeping noises coming from everywhere.She looked down at a life less body,only holding on to life through machines.This wasn't what she wanted.This wasn't how she planned things to turn out.She whispered softly..."Abbey".Tears blurred her vision.She gripped the hospital bed to keep from falling.Everything in your life was falling apart and the last 2 years replayed over and over in her mind.

2years before....

Hospital.How long had Kay been stuck in this hospital?Months?Days?Weeks?Years?Time..it stood almost still.light,darkness,sun,moon.Thats all that changed.Oh and nurses.She had been moved around alot.The docter said it was because her cancer was getting better.She was getting better.But when she looked in the mirror she didn't look any better.Thin,pale,hair a mess.She didn't even feel better.Still felt as weak as she had when she first came here.Wait no she felt weaker.

"Good morning Kay"A nurse named Jane said,opening the shades.Jane was one of Kay's favorite nurses.She wasn't a plain jane.She had dyed hair.Black and blue.She was young too and pretty.She would listen to you too.Even if it was just you complain or crying.She listened,really listened.

"morning."Kay replied.

"How did you sleep?"

"Blah."

"You should ask the night nurses to give you some aspain,may help you sleep"

Its not that I can't sleep,thought Kay,its I don't want to sleep.

"You are getting a new roommate today."

"Really?"Kay had been in that room for 2 weeks all by herself.

"Yes.A girl bout your age maybe older."

"Do you know her?"

Jane sighed."She got out of here.When into remission it was her second time."Jane looked down."well she's sick again.Really sick this time."

Kay didn't say anything.She couldn't image being sick,getting better,getting sick again,getting better again,then getting sick again.She didn't want that to happen to her.She felt sorry for whoever this girl was.
