I just lay there staring up at him, studying his face. "Please Leah, I'll make it up to you, just don't desert me on my time of need," he pleaded. "Your time of need?" I snapped. "What about all those times you deserted me for you business, huh? Hell Trevor you might as well have married that damn place instead of me!" I yelled grinding my teeth. "Baby, please," he repeated. Those pouting lips and droopy blue eyes made me soften my tone.
"Alright Trevor, but you must get help in rehab, and another thing, you will never lay one hand on me again unless we are making love, you got that !" I demanded sharpening my gaze on him. "Oh Leah, thank you so much for understanding," he replied covering my face with warm passionate kisses. The next day rolled by and I enrolled him for rehab three days a week, but surprisingly he went.
For the next three weeks our love for eachother grew stronger and Trevor managed to stay alcohol free. Every night he would hold me in his masculine arms, and gaze so lovingly into my eyes. When people tell you that you are blinded by love , you should really listen, for I myself should have known that horrible news was coming, and fast. I was greeted Wednesday morning by a very enthusiastic Trevor Stults.
"Oh Leah just the person I need to speak with," he said holding back his grin. All I could do was fake a smile, because I already had a very bad idea about this. "Leah, I have a very important business trip to attend, which may lead to my promotion!" he beemed happily. "A bussiness trip!" I screamed removing that forced smile from my lips. "For how long Trevor?" I asked with sadness in my tone. "Oh Leah, only three days please don't be sad I will make it up to you when I return," he said throwing his arms up so I would run into them.
Instead I just stood there glaring at him. "Alright, but you must stick to your words and return to me in three days," I said to him. "I will baby," he replied planting a quick kiss on my lips and dashing out the front door. Why hadn't I seen this coming I thought aloud. I walked over to the window and watched as his bright red truck pulled out of the driveway. Later that night, sleep didn't greet me as early as I had planned it to. "Well this was all good while it lasted!" I screamed burying my head in the pillow. I can't sleep! I got out of bed and stood there a moment replaying his words in my head over and over.
Thats when a thought of my enthusiastic Kirtsy came to my mind. "Certainly Kirsty could brighten my day," I thought running to my closet. I grabbed a t-shirt and jeans and headed out the door. I had decided it was way to late to call her, so I might as well just show up. As I stepped into the car I turned around and took a glance at the house, " Oh how I miss the man I married!" About halfway there I could feel the sworming of butterflies in my tummy. "Why do I feel this way its only Kirsty," I said with a small chuckle.
As I started pulling in the driveway suddenly my headlights brought attention to another vehicle. She must have company. As I exited my car and walked a little closer , I stopped in anger. "Shit the bed!" I yelled out. This is Trevor's truck. With blood rushing to my face, I stomped angerily to her door. Instead of knocking gently, I heavily pounded the door. Sure enough Kirsty, only in a towel, came to answer the door. "Oh Leah, what are you doing here?" She gasped. Before thinking further I reached out and slapped her right across the cheek, while shoving her aside. I walked right on in and sure enough I laid eyes on a completley udressed Trevor.
As he glance at me he dashed to his clothes and began slipping them on. "Some damn business trip your having!" I yelled out at him. "Oh Leah, its not what it looks like!" he screamed in fear. "Oh its not is it, then why the hell are you nude in my bestfriend's home!" I shouted turning around heading for the door. On my way out I paused in front of Kirsty, who was standing there rubbing her cheek. "Here you whore, take this and all the abuse that comes with it!" I yelled chunking my wedding ring in her face. Then I raced to my car , not even glancing back, and took off.
