During the civil war there was a beautiful woman who was teh daughter of an innkeeper. One day soilders came to stay in the inn. Two were best friends from their childhood named Tim and Lewis. Lewis fell deeply in love with teh woman who was named Ellen.

They had dinner nmany times and soon Lewis proposed. "Don't do it," his friend Tim said. "She won't wait for you during teh war. "Yes, she will" Lewis replied. A few days later the soldiars were called to war. A week later the soilders returned but Lewis was not with them.

Ellen was mournful for less then a week. That's when John, a wealthy man sateyd at the inn. Then they decided to get married. Tim had known this all along.

On the day of the wedding during the first dance as John was asking Ellen to dance a smell of rotting flesh filled the room. and there stood Lewis his clothes ragged and his skin torn apart blood dripping.

He went up to Ellen and took her into his arms and danced to teh music. When the song ended Ellen gazed into his eyes and then fell to teh floor dead.

Lewis walked out of teh door. and everyone else except teh soilders fell down dead also. That day teh soilders searched for Lewis and found him beneath a rock just as he had appeared at the wedding and danced eth Death Waltz.
