~~~I was cut off by Darren’s lips touching mine. His kiss was so passionate, I loved it. I didn’t even realise when he had got on me and started to put my top up. When he reached for my bra that’s when I stopped him.
I pushed him off of me and got under my blanket. I turned to face Stephs bed and heard her door close.
I fell asleep with in 20 minutes.~~~
The next day I woke up at the sound of my cell phone vibrating, it must have been a text message so I turned over and grabbed my cell off of Steph’s bed side table and read the message.
It said: Rachel, girl, your every thang 2 me, plz lemme take u to skool?
I thought for a moment then replied:
Marcus, plz just leave me alone for a while after last night I don’t want to talk right now.
I waited 10 minutes and didn’t get a reply. I checked the time; it was 6:30am so I sat up and looked around the room.
Steph was still lying asleep in bed so I picked up my gym bag with what ever I had from home and when to the bathroom. I got undressed and got in the shower. The hot water stung the old bluish black bruises on my back and side and legs but it felt so good, like a new beginning.
That’s what I wanted, a new beginning, I wanted to forget the past and everything that had happened.
I wanted to forget Josh and my Dad; I wanted to forget about my selfish mother and my younger sister and Marcus.
After I had finished washing I got out and dried myself.
I put on my favourite apple bottom jeans, a black long sleaved top, a white tank top over it and a baby phat silver and gold jacket, I had to admit I did look fresh for a white girl.
Not that it was good for a white girl in my school to dress like I did. Even though I was a cheerleader I didn’t fit the stereotype, and believe me I knew it.
I continued putting my makeup on, foundation, powder, eyeliner, eye shadow, lip plumper. I looked ay myself in the mirror. My blonde hair naturally curled but I decided to straighten it. I blow dried my hair then straightened it then I heard a knock on the door.
I walked over and opened it, it was Steph.
Steph: “you finish yet?”
Me: “yep...” I said with a slight smile.
Steph: “you feelin better girl?”
Me: “yep sure am”
Steph: “good...” as she said that she gave me a hug.
I walked out and down stairs to make breakfast.
I looked at the clock on the kitchen wall; it read 7:08am.
Then I walked back up stairs to see who was still here, I walked up the hall and knocked on Darren’s door.
I heard some kind of grunting then a loud thump then more little thumps and the door opened with Darren rubbing his eyes.
Darren: “Steph I TOLD YO DUMB ASS NOT TO WAKE -“he didn’t finish his sentence.
Me: “uhh... I was just wondering who was still here, ima make yall breakfast”
He smiled,
Darren: “jus me n ma boy Trey”
Me: “iight...”
I turned to go down stairs.
I prepared blueberry pancakes with syrup and orange juice for Steph, Trey, Darren and I.
I set the table the way my father used to make me, then walked back upstairs and told everyone breakfast was ready.
We all ate and then it was time for Steph and I to go to school.
Darren: “can I give yall a ride?”
Steph: “yeeeeaahh!!”
Me: “no”
They both looked at me with questioning eyes.
Me: “ima walk”
With that I grabbed my school bag and walked out the door.
It was only a short walk to Angle Valley High, It was a pretty big town though, like it had clubs and everything.
After 15 minutes walking I arrived at school, I couldn’t see anyone around so i walked to my locker and got my books out then went and sat in my homeroom.
It wasn’t long before people started coming in and making noise, I sat and watched like I normally did.
Then I heard my name being called to the office so I picked up my things, not trusting anyone in that room and walked to the office.
In the office sat a girl and a guy, they weren’t sitting next to each other but I had never seen them before and being the captain of the cheer squad meant I knew almost everyone.
The principal Mrs Kodee called me into her office.
Mrs Kodee: “Rachel, we have two new students to our school, they are both in your class and have the same schedule will you show them around for the week?”
Me: “uhhhuum sure”
She handed me there schedules.
I wasn’t looking forward to this, I peered out of Mrs Kodee’s office window. the girl looked like a perfect replica of Barbie and the guy looked like he just won a rap battle at the shelter.
I walked out of Mrs Kodee’s office and over to the new students, i had a fake smile on and introduced myself.
I Iooked at the schedules, her name was Kirra and his was Elgin.
Me: “hi, my name’s Rachel, im going to be showing you two around” i said with a bubbly smile on my face.
Kirra just rolled her eyes and Elgin didn’t even here me because of how loud his music was blasting from his headphones.
Oh i could already see how fun this was going to be.
I waved my hand in Elgin’s face to tell him to follow me, thats what he did. I took them to first period, math.
Iknocked on the door and waited till the teacher opened it.
Mr English: “Rachel so glad you could join us, are these new students?”
Me: “mm hmm”
Mr English: “ok go sit down”
I walked in, and damn guys be whistling howling and shit.
Football jocks only did it because i never conformed to their click and they knew it would piss the guys in my group off.
See the guys in my group were well, how can i say this... GaNgStA. And they hated the football jocks.
Isnt it weird how click would rival aganced eachother?
Anyway i went and sat at a desk, next to Tyrell, Antoni, JJ, Reece, Kiki, Toiya, Tamara, Steph and Anna-Bell.
I put everything down, we never did any work in this class because no body listened.
I saw Elgin walk into the class, Antoni who was sitting next to me yelled out to him and dapped him then it was automaticly like he was chillin with us.
Toiya: “Dammn dat nigga fiine” she whispered in my ear.
Me: “his names Elgin i gotta show him round”
Then like an instent the girls in our group crowded in a circle and da guys done the same but separated.
Kiki: “Wow he sum hot chocolate boo”
Anna – Bell: “Yeh he hawt”
Me: “Damn ladies calm ya asses down hahaha”
Steph: “My boo’s cuter”
I giggled She was talking about Trey.
The teacher walked around handing out sheets of paper, I took 1 and started filling it out. It was some math shit but i had to do it to keep my spot as cheer captain.
All the girls were still talkin about Elgin the new guy when he dropped a piece of paper on our table, right next to me.
Before i could even reach out for it Toiya grabbed it and read out loud what it said.
Toiya: “Ey boo you fine can i get ya numba? Haha he can have mine anyday”
Me: “who was dat letta for?”
Toiya, Kiki, Steph, Anna-Bell and Tamara all said in unison “YOU”
Me: “What?, nah dat boy cant have my numba i already got my problems”
Steph: “Come on, Marcus aint even worth it”
I picked up the piece of paper and wrote my number on it. Nothing else just my number.
Me: “there happy?” i said looking directly at Steph.
Steph: “haha yeh hella happy”
I continued filling out my piece of paper, while they kept talking.
I heard the bell, i got up handed my paper up to the teacher and waited outside for Kirra and Elgin.
Kirra: “is there something you want?” she said in an arrogant tone.
Me: “uh im just here to guide you around..”
Kirra: “well.. i don’t need a guide”
Just at that moment Elgin finally walked out of class.
Elgin: “ey boo so you my guide hey?” He said with a grin on his face.
Me: “uh yeh i guess” I said feeling a bit weird.
Elgin: “so.. you gonna show me round dat body of yours?” He said looking at my ass.
Me: “uh you know what? Let dem boys show you around” I said trying not to sound nervous.
I Walked off to my locker and opened it, putting my stuff away. I closed my locked and turned around and bumped into Marcus.
Me: “Uhhm” I stuttered.
Marcus kissed me, passionately. I didn’t pull away till Steph pulled me away.
Steph: “Come on, Elgin’s gonna be lookin for you” She said talking to me but staring at Marcus.
