I was outside, at cheering practise. I didn’t have to do much today because I was thinking up ideas for a new cheer. I was the captain and the vice captain was in charge today. I decided to just draw up some ideas and let the team decide which one we do. I was just lying there out in the sun on the football field, I looked over to the old oak tree and there he was....Curtis, he was so cute but I already had a boyfriend... the captain of the football team his name is Josh, but I didn’t really like him, he was such an asshole and the worst part was he gave Curtis such a hard time an I didn’t know if it was because he was a different colour or if it was that Curtis didn’t give a fuk what anyone thought of him...

Oh goodie josh was coming over now.

“Hey babe”

“Hey”

I sat up and he started making out with me but I pushed him off me.

“Why’d you do that!” He said sounding angry.

“Because im not doing that type of thing in front of everyone”

“Oh but you can show thousands of guys your ass when your cheering”

“That’s different”

“What ever” and he mumbles under his breath “slut”

“Just fuck off josh” “why do you have to be such an asshole all the time?!?!”

“Well why do you tease me all the time?”

“I don’t tease you”

“Yea you do”

I can’t stand it any more so I got up and left I walked straight past Curtis and over to the change room. I hated josh but it’s kind of tradition that the captain of the cheerleading squad was the girlfriend of the captain of the football team. I loved being the captain but that was the only bad part...

Just as I sat down Beth came in and sat next to me.

“Why do you treat him like that?”

“What! He called me a slut”

“So, you treat him like shit”

Then she got up and left. That really pissed me off. Beth an I used to be really good friends but since we got into 10^th grade she turned into a total bitch I think it’s because I got captain an she didn’t and probably because she has a huge crush on josh... but I didn’t know that until this year. She flirts with him all the time and he enjoys it, but I don’t really care because I don’t love him I don’t even like him. I did try breaking up with him already this year but.... he bashed me until I took him back, I didn’t tell anyone except my best friend Steph and I made her promise not to tell anyone.
