He didn’t look dangerous, didn’t sound it either. All I knew was that I had to get away from where I was and fast. I tried to run but I couldn’t, my feet were anchored to the ground. But as I finally managed to free myself from the force that was holding me back, I began to run. Yet again I felt some sort of force pulling me back, trying to keep me near this man who was still chanting. I gave up on trying to escape. Instead, I was going to fight back. I charged at the man who was now chanting at a speed no normal person could possibly reach. I leapt into the air, hoping there wasn’t something to protect the man. I collided with the man and knocked him to the ground. Nothing to protect him? Why was that? As soon as I hit the man I realized something, the man did have something to protect him, it just wasn’t obvious. A ball of flame rose up around me but not the man. I could feel the heat on my skin but no pain as my shirt burst into flames and was disintegrated quicker than a click of your fingers. I tried getting out of the grasp of the flames. But I soon figured out that I had no chance of escape.I panicked, that’s what most people would have done. Struggled to escape the flames and be burnt to death. Deep breaths. I kept repeating it in my head.I had to think of a way to escape. I wondered, could I have the same abilities as the man who had encased me in this ball of flame? I thought to myself, let the fire be put out! I spread my arms out, hoping the flames would be gone. I kept repeating the message in my head as I closed my eyes, concentrating. I heard a pop and the flames were gone. Now to deal with the man.
