Okay, so I realize I leave you guys hanging in every story. But I'm kind of trying to make you want more and more. lol, I'm at about the 13th chapter, but I'm kind of at a slow point. Wish me luck!
Aria woke up smiling. She had dreamt she was flying around and around. It was now well after midnight and realizing that the next day was a Saturday, she looked to see if Megan was awake, too. This happened a lot. They were both awake, just as Aria expected. Megan looked at Aria and smiled. Aria smiled back. She was happy they could do this; the silence was peaceful, not awkward. Megan climbed out of her bed and sat down on Aria’s. They put in a movie and fell asleep in the same bed. They were best friends, not like sisters at all. Sisters fight and beat the shit out of each other, no these two were definitely not sisters at all.
Aria woke up once more that night, to watch Megan get up and drag her medicine cart to her own bed. The movie they’d been watching was still on. She estimated the time to be about 12:30. She saw that her Vincristine bag had been replenished and she was also getting more fluids. I must be dehydrated, she thought. The smile on her face drifted as she realized that she could die from this. Sure, she had known before, but seeing all of this around her so often made her wonder. She was more worried about Megan than herself. She knew Leukemia was bad, but it was studied so often that she thought somebody with a tumor in her lung would probably have worse. Megan needed a lung transplant horribly. The fact that she had asthma didn’t help. Aria went back to sleep quite quickly, thanks to her medicine.
That morning, Aria woke up and Megan was sleeping peacefully in her bed. Aria looked out of the window and smiled. She could see that the sun was shining. Megan slowly opened her eyes. She saw Aria smiling out of the window. Megan slowly drifted back to sleep. Suddenly Megan’s heart monitor started beeping loudly and Aria panicked. She ran out of the room, her medication cart dragging after her, she ran to the right, straight toward the reception desk.
“Megan’s heart alarm is going off!” She screamed…
